We are also proud to announce that many of our female athletes on scholarships are doing very well in the United States. Megan Davies and Laura Ciccone from our 2003 under 19 girl's team (Ontario Cup winners) are both on scholarships to Concord. You can check out their progress on the Concordian website at

Scholarships Awarded!
Hamilton Sparta Sports Club - JUST IN THE IUPUI Department of Intercolligiate Athletics and women's soccer coach Chris Johnson announced the signing of Jennifer Scorniaenchi (Burlington, Ontario/Notre Dame Catholic Secondary)and Christy Snyder (Greenwoodk Indiana/Center Grove to National Letters of Intents. Scorniaenchi a 5-foot-3 defender, was a four-year starter at Notre Dame Catholic Secondary, while serving as the team captain in her junior and senior years. She was also chosen team MVP as a senior.
Scorniaenchi also played midfielder and sweeper for Hamilton Sparta of the OYSL for the past four years. quoted from Ed Holdaway Assistand Sports Information Directore - IUPUI

Alison Heydorn and Cat Panabaker of the Sparta under 19 girls team after being awarded Scholarships to American Universities. Alison of St. Mary's High School in Hamilton is off to Central Michigan University near Mt. Pleasant Michigan. Cat is currently attending Westdale High and will be going to Oakland University near Rochester Michigan. Hamilton Sparta Executive would like to congratulate both girls on their accomplishments and wish them the best in the coming years. Hamilton Sparta would also like to thanks Alge Borusas of the Hamilton Spectator for featuring both girls in a recent issue of the local newspaper. When local athletic talent is promoted be it soccer or any other sport all local youth athletes benefit.
Congratulatios to 4 more girls on the under 19 Sparta girls team for achieving soccer scholarships to US Universities. Christina Pilato, Jess Alcock, Chrissy Nicholson and Angela Valvasori.
