HAMILTON SPARTA SR. MENS TEAM - 2006 HAMILTON & DISTRICT, LEAGUE and PLAYOFF CHAMPIONS "UNDEFEATED"
Sparta Sr Men's Team
Hamilton Sparta won the Hamilton District Senior Soccer League, "League Championship", this past season (2006), being Undefeated, with a record of 15 wins and 3 ties, and then went on to win the Play-off Championship. Again undefeated.
Goalies - Steve Morrison and Mike Tollis(a St. Thomas More Graduate) got the most Shut-out wins. Our Defence of Nick Vorkapic, Chris Salciciolli, Dino Hrnjic, Gianni DiFranco and Ryan Gesse, had the least goals against-(17). Our Midfield was as good as any in the league, and contributed with their share of goals. The boys who were entrusted the control of the midfield area are: Nick Katic, Mark Geerts, Junior Aidrus, Robii Majd, Hadi Musa, Phil Lattuca, Omar Haddad, ans Sasa Crnogorac.
Our forwards of Rajko Kovinjalo, (who won the individual League Scoring Championship) as well as Ross McMillan, James Bond, Adnan Bajramovic, and Gerry Falletta were responsible for the most goals in the league - (52).
Congratulations to the team and especially the Coach "Amir Osmanlic" for a job well done.
