USSSA SOUTHEASTERN WOOD BAT CHAMPIONSHIPS NIT
Come play a weekend of baseball like it has been played for over 160 years. There is nothing more pure to a baseball fan than the crack of a wood bat. The USSSA Southeastern Wood Bat Championships NIT is the premier wood bat event of the season. Your team will experience the excitement of playing with wood bats just like the legends of the past and the super stars of today. Games will be played on a variety of the most outstanding facilities in Georgia. Separate North and South divisions will be played out during the weekend in Forsyth and Henry Counties with the division winners coming together on Monday for the Championship games. Each team will receive two quality wood bats to keep or the players can use their own. Space is limited. So, don't delay. Register early to secure your spot.
If your team is gearing up for the USSSA post-season (Area Tournaments, Sub State Tournaments and State Championships) this tournament is a MUST for you. There is no better way to add to your USSSA Points total BEFORE post-season pools are seeded than playing in a USSSA QUAD POINT event. Champions will recive 300 points, Runner-ups 220 points, Third places 180 points, Forth places 160 points, etc. Talk about BANG for your BUCK!!!

Mark your calenders now for the 2009 AAU State Championships, the week of June 3-7, 2009. This tournament has earned and maintained the reputation as "the best of the best". The only true State Championship with no north/south restrictions, no seperate classes and not just another local tournament calling themselves a state championship. Just an opportunity to step into the batter's box against the best teams in Georgia and earn the right to be call STATE CHAMPIONS. Last year's field of teams included 10 of the top 15 ranked major teams in Georgia as well as many of the top ranked AAA teams. . The top 25% teams will earn a berth to the AAU National Championship to be held at DISNEY'S WIDE WORLD of SPORTS in Orlando, FL.

ALREADY OVER 140 TEAMS
The 2009 Forsyth County Slugfest USSSA NIT is set for March 6-8, 2009 and registrations are being accepted. As the largest preseason tournament in the country, The Slugfest continues to grow and sell out every year. As we enter our sixth year we expect over 200 teams and will certainly sell out most if not all age group prior to the deadline as we have each of the last four years. OVER 125 TEAMS have registered with a little over a month left before the registration deadline!
We are proud to continue our support of Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta and the Cumming-Forsyth County Miracle League. In the last two years alone, over $40,000 has been raised for these two great organizations through your participation.
Your teams have been selected and you are dreaming of that State Championship next summer. It all starts here! Register early to secure your spot. Unfortunately, we have dozens of teams placed on waiting lists every year due to early sell outs.

Forsyth Fall Slugfest
The FORSYTH FALL SLUGFEST promises to be the most exciting and well managed tournament of the fall season. Your team has been selected and you’re dreaming about the State Championships next summer. It all starts here and what better way to kick off the new season than with 3-4 games this fall while taking advantage of the holiday weekend, August 29-31, 2008.All games will be played Sharon Springs Park, conveniently located less than 5 minutes off of GA 400 north. The park features 8 well manicured fields, 10 batting cages, 2 concession stands, high school certified umpires and first class service for your team and families. The top 25% teams in each age group will receive a berth to the 2009 USSSA World Series while earning those valuable USSSA points

Forsyth Co Slugfest Continues to Help
The Forsyth County Slugfest Staff presents the proceeds of the team contributions to representatives of the Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta. The presentation took place Tuesday night during the annual Spring Classic for Kids featuring the GA- GA Tech baseball game at Turner Field. Thanks to all of the teams that attended and contributed. Through you support, over $18,000.00 was collected and distributed to the Forsyth County Miracle League and Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta.
