Since the inception of the team at the turn of the century Nick Pereira has been a staple for the Hackers in right field, and the only player to play for the team every year of its existence. Although time has changed his style of play, in that he is no longer the base stealing threat that he once was, he still shows flashes of past glory. Following career highs of a .452 batting average and RBIs in 2006, he batted a respectable yet personally disappointing .300 while totaling 15 RBIs in 2007. Pereira expects to undergo hamstring surgery after this season. He plans on using parts donated to him from Moises Alou, Marlon Anderson, and Pedro Martinez.
