The West Island Royals defeated the flightless HRS Hawks 6-2 in Friday night action. The Royals dominated the play with three goals in the first and another 3 goals in the second. Andre Racine's strong play continued with a hat trick and an assist, as he nailed the coffin shut with 2 of his markers coming in the second. Andrew Nolan stung his old team with a 3 assist performance. David Montgomery tallied a goal and two assists of his own. Ireland Kronlov and Justin Villeneuve added a goal and an assist each with Ryan Ziadie posting an assist to round out the scoring. Daniel Curl turned away 19 of 21 shots. HRS shots came almost entirely on the 7 powerplay opportunities they were handed by the Royals. The Royals out shot HRS 35-21. Michael Kelly played his first game of the season and he played well with his heads up puck movement and defensive positioning. Welcome back Mike!
