In the first meeting between the Royals and Kings, the Royals emerged with a 6-1 victory. The Royals dominated the play for the first two periods and led 4-1 going into the third. The Kings fought hard and pressed in the third but ran into a wall named Curl. The Royals netminder stimied the Kings attempt to rally. Justin Villeneuve had an impressive 3 goal, 1 assist performance, capitilizing on two nice 2-on-1 feeds from Chris Vlahos, who ended with 1 goal and 2 assists of his own. Charles Lamarre and Andrew Racine added a goal each with Ireland Kronlov, Kristofer Shelton and Philipe Bourassa tallying assists. The Royals out shot the Kings 35-21. Hats off to both teams who battled very hard and in the process only took three penalties between them.
