Boys HSC Clash: Welcome

Welcome to the home site of the Hockessin Soccer Club Boys U16 Clash 

2008 DE STATE CUP CHAMPIONS! 

The Clash is made up of committed soccer players that represent 12 different catholic, private, and public high schools from Delaware and Southern Penna. 

The Clash looks to compete at the highest level in both league and tournament play.  During the U16 year the Clash is participating in leagues in Region 1 and MAPS/MSSL.  The Clash is also slated for the following tournaments:  MAPS/MSSL College Showcase - November, 2007; PA Classics Winter Showcase - December, 2007;  CASL Shootout Showcase - December, 2007; Jefferson Cup - March, 2008 ; March Madness - March, 2008; MSSL Explosion Memorial Day Tournament - May, 2008 as well as some summer 2008 tournaments TBD. 

The Clash is coached by Dean Temple, who holds a USSF A License and has over 12 years of travel team and ODP coaching experience.  Coach Temple's Roma travel team was 8 time DE State Champions and Region 1 semifinalst in 2002 and continues today as a U23 team in the MSSL League under USASA.  In addition to Coach Temple, Assistant Coach Kyle Rakow, an outstanding club player in VA and member of the U18 US Men's National Team who went on to play his collegiate soccer at Georgetown University, shares his experiences during training and on game day.  The Clash also has, from time to time, guest trainers, current collegiate players and coaches from local area colleges attending training sessions. 

Tryouts for U17 Clash - 2008/2009 

THURSDAY JULY 24TH TRYOUT HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL THURSDAY JULY 31, 2008 AT HSC Artesian Field @ 6 PM.  If you are unable to attend a tryout, please email Coach Temple directly at templeclan@comcast.net for additional information.
