The Humble Girls Softball League (HGSL) is a Fastpitch Softball League
dedicated to teaching girls ages 5 - 16 the fundamentals of softball
coupled with good sportsmanship in a fun atmosphere.
HGSL has two types of programs: Recreational League (includes Summer All-Stars)
and Select or Traveling/Tournament Teams (Humble Cobras).
Our Recreational Seasons are: Fall (Sept-Nov), Spring (Jan-Apr) and Summer All-Stars (open to Spring Players only).

HGSL College Scholarship Available
The Humble Girls Softball League is an all volunteer program designed to instill good values within the children that participate. Through our Board of Directors, coaches, and team parents we work hard to develop well adjusted, strong, and happy citizens by instilling good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, and respect for authority with in all of our players. We are proud to announce that we will be awarding a player, who is currently a high school senior and planning to continue their education a scholarship. Applicant Requirements: Applicant Must:
- Have played a minimum of four seasons (fall or spring) of league play with HGSL or two years within the Cobra program
- Have a minimum (high school: grade 9-12) grade point average (GPA) of 3.0.
- Complete the application which is located in the Handouts and Forms-Forms and Applications Section of this web site (link below this article).
- Provide three letters of recommendation, with at least one letter each from:
- Ø A teacher or counselor (not related to the applicant)
- Ø A community member (not related to the applicant)
- Provide a brief essay, 300 words or less, setting forth your vocational/professional goal(s) and relate how past, present, and future activities contribute to the accomplishment of this goal. Also, include any involvement in student activities, leadership positions, community service, work experience, and what you learned from your involvement in HGSL that has helped prepare you for the future. Your essay must also be signed by you to signify that this is your own, original essay.
- Provide an official, signed High School transcript.
- Complete and return application to an HGSL Board Member. The HGSL VP, Jody Lonergan is coordinating this committee.
