Volunteer Information
HDLL consists of 100% Volunteers. Doing your part for the children of our communities will have a life-long effect on their future. Below is a list of opportunities available. Use this information as a guide and consider volunteering!!
Team Managers and Assistant Coaches
- 1 Team Manager for each team. 2 to 3 Assistant Managers per team.
- A baseball teacher and team leader-role model
- Must participate in Coaching Clinic
- Keep team parents informed.
- Distribute & collections of raffle tickets. Each player is asked to sell 10 raffle tickets at $10 each to support the HDLL program.
- Know and teach the little league rules
- Player motivation and baseball development (it's all about the kids)
- Participate in team draft (Team Managers only: Minors AA, AAA, Majors, Juniors)
- Running team practices
- Pick-up equipment .
- Pick up/distribute team uniforms (before season starts)
- Pick up/distribute end-of-season player awards
- Running games
- Create & Prepare line-up
- Player warm ups
- Having Fun!!
Team Parent
- One person needed for each team
- Assign snack/drink schedule for all games.
- Schedule parents for dug-out-duty for each game. (Tball & Farm)
- Keeping score of games via score card - for Minors and up
- Help Manager distribute and collect raffle tickets & monies.
Board Members
- Attend monthly board meetings
- Voice opinions on league issues
- Vote on league issues
- Take on a league responsibility
- Board Members are elected at the end of the Spring season and begin with Fall Ball. In the event of a resignation, posted position will be posted on the website.
