Welcome to the Home of the Great Falls Rovers

The Great Falls Rovers is a rising U-16 Boys NCSL Division 5 soccer team hosted by the Great Falls Soccer Club.  The team is coached by Laszlo Juhasz of Hi-Performance Soccer Academy (www.hpsoccer.com).  Laszlo is a former player with the Hungarian Youth National Teams and a 4 year starter at George Mason University.  He was an assistant coach at Marymount University Men's Soccer Team and a Strength/Conditioning Coach at American University.  Laszlo holds his UEFA B license and is an ODP Staff Coach.  The team is looking for players in all positions and will provide a competitive, developmental and enjoyable environment for dedicated players.  For additional information please contact Coach Juhasz at ljuhasz2000@yahoo.com or (571) 331-8229.

Summer Conditioning Program

The Rovers have established a summer conditioning program for the players.  The program is being conducted at Diamond Sports Training in Sterling, VA.  Three training sessions are conducted each week.  The sessions are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 - 7:00pm, and Saturdays from 10:00 - 11:00am.  The program starts on Tuesday, June 23rd and ends on Saturday, August 8th.  The sessions are open to all current and potential new players.  Anyone interested should contact Coach Laszlo Juhasz using the contact information above.

Pre-Season Camp for Fall 2009 NCSL Season

The team has pulished the dates for it's pre-season camp for the Fall 2009 NCSL season.  The camp will be held during the weeks of August 10th and August 17th, Monday through Friday, 6:00pm to 7:30pm.  Field locations will be published as soon as they are assigned.

Rovers Get Come Back Victory!

The Great Falls Rovers got a great come from behind victory today.  After falling behind 3-1 midway during the second half, the Rovers scored 3 goals in the last 15 minutes of the game to win.  With the victory, the team pulled its record to .500 with 3 games left to play in the season.  Click on the 'Schedules & Scores' link to the left to see the team's results for the season.

Tryouts Announced

The Rovers will conduct open practices during their regularly scheduled Tuesday and Saturday practices.  They will also conduct two competitive tryouts on the Tuesday and Saturday immediately following the Spring NCSL season.  The team will evaluate players at all positions and asks that interested players contact Coach Laszlo Juhasz using the contact information provided above.  The first tryout will be held on Tuesday, May 19th and they will continue through Saturday, June 20th.  You can click the 'Practices & Tryouts' link on the menu to the left for an exact listing of tryout dates.

NCSL Spring 2009 Schedule Announced - Click Here

Rovers Prepare for Spring NCSL Season

The Rovers have been preparing for the upcoming NCSL season for many weeks now.  The team has conducted outdoor trainig sessions for the past 8 weeks in addion to playing an indoor season at the Dulles SportsPlex.  Preparation conintues with a scrimmage against the Arlington Earthquakes on Sunday, March 22nd.  Formal practices begin on Tuesday, March 24th.
