Great Falls Rovers Advance to NCSL Division 3

The Great Falls Rovers is a U-16 Boys NCSL Division 3 soccer team hosted by the Great Falls Soccer Club.  The team is coached by Laszlo Juhasz of Hi-Performance Soccer Academy (www.hpsoccer.com).  Laszlo is a former player with the Hungarian Youth National Teams and a 4 year starter at George Mason University.  He was an assistant coach at Marymount University Men's Soccer Team and a Strength/Conditioning Coach at American University.  Laszlo holds his UEFA B license and is an ODP Staff Coach.  The team is looking for two players in any position and will provide a competitive and enjoyable environment for dedicated players.  For additional information please contact Coach Juhasz at ljuhasz2000@yahoo.com or (571) 331-8229.

Rovers Advance to NCSL Division 3

The Great Falls Rovers finished with a record of 5 wins, 2 losses and 2 ties to place third in NCSL Division 4.  This placement will allow the team to advance to NCSL Division 3 for the Spring of 2010.  The team is hoping to add two talented players to the roster for the upcoming season.  Guest playing opportunities are available for our tournament in Columbia Maryland on the weekend of November 14 and 15.  We will also be conducting scrimmages throughout the Fall and Winter months.  Interested players should contact Coach Laszlo Juhasz.

Dulles SportsPlex Winter Indoor League - Click Here

The Rovers have registered to play winter indoor soccer at the Dulles SportsPlex.  The team will participate in the first winter indoor session which runs from Saturday, November 14th through Sunday, January 10th.

Columbia Fall Classic Tournament

This tournament was cancelled due to inclement weather conditions!

The Rovers are scheduled to compete in the Columbia Fall Classic Tournament on Saturday, November 14th and Sunday, November 15th.  The tournament is being held in Columbia, Maryland and is sponsored by the Soccer Association of Columbia (SAC).  Guest opportunities are available for interested players.  Please contact Coach Laszlo Juhasz using the information above.

The Rovers are scheduled to compete in the Battlefield Classic Tournament on Saturday, October 10th and Sunday, October 11th.  The tournament is held in Manassas, Virginia and is sponsored by the Northern Virginia Soccer Club.  Click on the title of this article to visit the tournament web site and follow the team's progress.

Rovers Start Season Strong

The Rovers started the Fall 2009 NCSL season strong with a 2-1 win over the DSC Fusion on Saturday, September 12th.  They followed that up with a hard fought tie against the SSA Rapids on Sunday, September 13th.  You can follow the team at the NCSL web site or by clicking the 'Schedules & Scores' link on the menu to the left.

Rovers Pre-Season Camp

Camp Opening Soon!
The Rovers have published the dates for their pre-season camp for the upcoming Fall 2009 NCSL season.  The camp will be held during the weeks of August 10th and August 17th, Monday through Friday, 6:30pm to 8:00pm.  All practices will be held at Grange Field which is located next to the library in the village of Great Falls.  There are still a few positions open on the team.  Interested players should contact Coach Laszlo.

Summer Conditioning Program

The Rovers have established a summer conditioning program for the players.  The program is being conducted at Diamond Sports Training in Sterling, VA.  Three training sessions are conducted each week.  The sessions are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 - 7:00pm, and Saturdays from 10:00 - 11:00am.  The program starts on Tuesday, June 23rd and ends on Saturday, August 8th.  The sessions are open to all current and potential new players.  Anyone interested should contact Coach Laszlo Juhasz using the contact information above.
