Granite Falls Little League: CODES OF CONDUCT
MANAGER / COACH CODE OF CONDUCT
1. Managers/Coaches will always be fair, firm and consistent.
2. Managers/Coaches will not allow any child on the field during practice that is not on the team roster or has not had a background check (only for community service and must be at least 15 years of age).
3. Managers/Coaches will not use drugs, alcohol (or under the influence) or any tobacco product during practice or at any GFLL event (tobacco product includes chewing tobacco). This is cause for automatic removal from a coaching position.
4. Managers/Coaches will lead by example, always showing good sportsmanship and promoting a positive attitude.
5. ABUSIVE OR PROFANE LANGUAGE WILL NOT BE TOLERATED ON LITTLE LEAGUE/SCHOOL GROUNDS OR TOWARD ANY PERSON IN ATTENDANCE.
6. Managers/Coaches will follow the Rules of Little League Baseball as well as all Local League rules. You will teach fundamentals at a local level and pace that incurs the best possible environment for learning.
7. Managers/Coaches will show an appropriate and cooperative attitude in communicating with game officials.
8. Managers/Coaches will listen to their player's concerns and try to help them in any way they can.
9. Managers/Coaches will strictly adhere to the policies and procedures of GFLL and set a proper example for everyone to follow.
10. I understand all Jewelry, including but not limited to, earrings, necklaces and watches, as well as cell phones must be removed prior to the start of the game.
11. Managers/Coaches will stress teamwork and respect for each athlete.
12. Managers/Coaches will not allow any volunteer who has not had a Background Check performed to participate.
13. Managers/Coaches will show proper respect of any official's judgment and interpretation of the rules.
14. In the event that an athlete is injured, two coaches will attend to the injured athlete.
15. In the event that a coach is having difficulty with an athlete, the coach will bring this to the Board of Directors to determine if this athlete should be moved to another team.
16. All Managers are responsible for their assistant's infractions. All coaches and assistants must act professionally at all times while representing GFLL.
17. Coaches' appearance must be appropriate: NO SANDALS or FLIP FLOPS; NO TANK TOPS and NO CUT OFFS. Short may not be shorter than three (3) inches above the knees and shoes must have closed toes.
This Code of Conduct must be read, signed and turned in by the Mandatory Managers' Meeting.
