There have been 3 schedule changes for the 2008 season. I am sad to announce that the Wainwright Longhorns and Calgary Thunder have folded from the AFL. Thanks for the hard hitting football. 2008 Season Opener will now be played against the Edmonton Seahawks at Legion field on June 7. The second home game will be played against the Parkland Panthers on July 19th
Therefore the away game on June 14 & home game on July 12 are now BYE weeks.
Another successful AGM took place in Edmonton on Jan 26,2008. The highlight of the meeting was the accepted team propasal of the Parkland Panthers out of Spruce Grove. This brings the Alberta Football league to ten teams for the 2008 season. The 2008 AFL schedule was released. Game dates and times may vary due to scheduling however the weekend will remain the same.
Congratulations and Welcome to the Parkland Panthers in joining the AFL
The Drillers will prepare in the offseason with recruiting and training to make the 2008 season even more successful. The Indoor practice schedule can be found under practices. Indoor practices will also run in school gymnasiums. More information to follow
