GRAFTON LITTLE LEAGUE: Welcome
2012 Sponsorship Programs
Want to sponsor a team? Looking to put an advertising banner for your business on our fields? Would you like to donate to our annual end of season pool party? We have opportunities available. For more information, see our 2012 Fundraising Programs handout in our Handouts section.
Grafton Little League and Grafton Baseball Partnership
Since the inception of Grafton Baseball in 2006, Grafton Baseball and Grafton Little League have strived to work together in a way that mutually benefits each organization, and that spirit remains today. Grafton Little League and Grafton Baseball are pleased to announce we have the outline of a working relationship for the 2012 season and hopefully beyond.
-
Grafton Baseball will continue to require players to also register for Grafton Little League. GLL will, in exchange, continue to work with GB to schedule GB practices and home games.
-
GLL will keep 4 weekends open for GB tournaments - Ozaukee County Tournament Weekend, Memorial Weekend, Father's Day Weekend, and 4th of July Observed Weekend.
-
GB will cap non-tournament games at 10 between GLL Opening Day and the beginning of GLL All Star Practices.
-
GB teams may play in tournaments prior to GLL Opening Day, and in July with players not involved in GLL All Stars.
For complete details, see the GB-GLL Letter in our Handouts section.
Board Member Opportunites
There are a number of GLL opportunities available. Please check the Handouts section for details.Time is running out for the GLL Complex to be a reality. We need someone to lead the fundraising efforts. Again this year a number of Parent Surveys commented about lack of practice time once games start, too many Rookie & Minor games in July, too many games on Saturdays and the possibility of entering a 9 / 10 year old team in the All Star tournament. These are symptoms of our current facilities. The GLL Complex would address all of these situations. If significant funds are not raised by the end of the year, the opportunity of our own GLL Complex will slip away. Contact Mark Koehler at mark.koehler@graftonlittleleague.com if you can make the GLL Complex a reality.
For 2012 a new Rookie League Vice President is needed. In addition, if you are interested in the Secretary or Information Officier position the current Board members would step down and assist with a transition.
In 2013 more GLL Board positions will be vacated. The 2012 season would be the perfect opportunity to shadow the current Board member in preparation for taking over that position in 2013.
GLL Board elections for the 2012 season will take place at the October GLL Board meeting on Tuesday, October 4th at 7:00 p.m. If you are interested in serving on the GLL Board and providing an opportunity for the youth of Grafton to play baseball please contact Mark Koehler at mark.koehler@graftonlittleleague.com.
Racing Sausages visit GLL
On Saturday, June 18th the Klement’s Racing Sausages from the Milwaukee Brewers paid a visit to the Grafton Little League. They were sponsored by Newman Chevrolet and the Chevy Youth Baseball program. Pictured is Scott Volkert from Newman Chevrolet presenting Mark Koehler, President of the Grafton Little League, with a $500 check for Newman’s sponsorship of the Grafton Little League. Newman Chevrolet has sponsored the Grafton Little League in the Chevy Youth Baseball program for the last four years. Through the program over $20,000 has been raised for the Grafton Little League by selling raffle tickets for a new vehicle. If you are interested in purchasing raffle tickets for the Grand Prize of a Chevy Cruze or Equinox call (262) 339-5212 or visit the Grafton Little League concession stand.
Newman Chevrolet
A big THANKS to Newman Chevrolet for Sponsoring Grafton Little League in the Chevy Youth Baseball program. The big winner of the 2010 Chevy Equinox was from Slinger. Although Grafton did not sell the winning raffle ticket, Grafton Little League raised almost $7,000 selling the tickets - sounds like a win anyway! Thanks again to Newman Chevrolet!
Grafton Little League Complex
Fundraising for the complex is in full swing and Fundraising Packets are available as pdf files in the Handouts section. Please share them with anyone you know who may be interested in sponsorship of our new complex.
If you, or someone you know, can assist in our fundraising efforts, please contact Mark Koehler.
We appreciate your support!!!!!!!!!!
