Welcome to the home of Golden Valley Little League. 

GVLL is open to all youth living in Golden Valley age 6 - 12. GVLL provides youth with an opportunity to learn and excel at baseball, while making friends and learning skills that apply to all areas of life. GVLL is committed to provding the opportunity to play baseball to all Golden Valley youth. Please contact Pete Birkeland, GVLL President, 763-591-7795 for more information. 2012 Baseball School Registration

Baseball School is the best way to get your player ready for the 2012 season. Players will build on thier skills in hitting, fielding, throwing, and running. In addition they will strengthen thier baseball knowlege and leadership skills each week. Participants will be preparing for Player Evaluation Day and the 2012 season. The school is located in the gyms at Sandburg Middle School in Golden Valley.

Baseball School is $50. This fee covers the cost of all 5 classes. Players simply need to bring thier gloves, a baseball hat and dry tennis shoes. Registration is handled by PayPal. As you complete the registration process, please click the special instructions for seller option and add your child's first and last name. GVLL is not able to offer per class pricing for baseball school.

2012 Baseball School Details

Our 2012 Baseball School will kick off February 12, 2012.  Coach Brian Swan will be returning to help players get a jump start on spring training. There will 5 consecutive weekly sessions . The school is being held at Sandburg Middle School. If you need directions, look under the locations tab of the website. Players are expected to attend all 5 sessions as the skills in each session will build on the previous week. The cost of the school is $50. GVLL is not able to offer per session pricing for the Baseball School.

 

The five training sessions will focus on:

  • Fundamental baseball skills and knowledge.
  • Hitting mechanics
  • Throwing and fielding mechanics.
  • Base running skills.
  • Leadership and teamwork

Who is eligible for the Players Baseball School?

  • All Golden Valley Little League players ages 7 to 12. If room permits, Little League players from communities outside of GVLL will be allowed to participate.
When: Sunday sessions on the following dates:
  • February: 12th, 19th, and 26th
  • March: 4th and 11th
Times for GVLL Baseball School are as follows:

o   7 and 8 year old 4:30pm to 5:30pm

o   9 and 10 year old 5:30pm to 6:30pm

o   11 and 12 year old 6:30pm to 8:00pm

Player Evaluation Day 2012 March 18 New Hope Community Gym

All players in GVLL are required to attend Player Evaluation Day on Sunday March 18. PED will be at the New Hope Community Gym, located in the back of Cooper High School. (Driving directions can be found by clicking the locations tab on the left side of the website). The specific schedule for the day will be posted ASAP.
