Our games vs Rada were cancelled this evening due to predicted rain. It is raining all around Tom's River but not in it - as of 4:50 pm - but thunderstorms are predicted and the league Pres decided to call the game based upon probability. He has taken a lot of heat about scheduling games that end up being cancelled as they are being played because if the umps come they are supposed to be paid. So rather than take heat on that account Pete tends to call the games early. It is especially frustrating because we have had so much rain. *sigh* should start to dry out any day now........
