Dear Parents/Coaches & Friends of the Community,

We would like to take this time to thank you for joining the GT Lions this 2009 year and say how much we have appreciated the dedication you and your families have put into this organization. We have had a great, exciting year and hope to see you all back next year.  It is people like you that help to make this organization such a great success!

 Attention 8^th Grade Parents/Students: 2010 Spring Football is back!!!  

Coach Ron Tinsley has Spring Football available to any 8th grade student interested in playing freshman football in High School.  This is a great opportunity to get some additional experience to help prepare them for the upcoming fall season. No experience necessary, first time players welcome. Coach Ron Tinsley runs a great program.  Practices will start March 1, 2010 @ 6pm and the season will continue through the first week of June.  Registrations will be held at Lakeland Field on February 18^th & 25^th from 6:30pm - 8pm.  We will also be accepting registrations during practices the weeks of March 1^st & March 8^th, Monday – Thursday from 6pm – 8pm.

 

Our first registration for the fall 2010 season will be in April, so mark your calendars and remember to check our website @ www.eteamz.com/gtlions for dates & times.

Mission Statement

The goal of the GT Lions is to provide a youth program that benefits all participants, both girls and boys by teaching good sportsmanship, leadership, teamwork and self-discipline through football and cheerleading in a fun and safe environment. Build a coalition between our community, friends, family, and our organization to give our youth a chance to enjoy and experience football and cheerleading.  The parents are as valuable as the athletes. We, as Parents, Coaches, Team Moms and Volunteers should strive to make the game fun for all participants. Coaches and parents must keep in mind the ages of the participants, for they are the future and will need to instill the same teaching into the future generations.

Finally, it has been said "Championships are earned not given. What are you doing to earn one?" This reflects parents as well as our young men and women.

THE GT LADY LIONS CHEERLEADERS ARE IN COMPETITION MODE.

Come out and support the GT lady Lions as they will be compteting this Sunday 12/6 at the Winlsow Eagles "Cheertastic" competition & on Sunday 12/13 at Harrison Sparks at Clearview High School in Mullica Hill.

END OF SEASON PARTYThe GT Lions Board of Directors is happy to announce that we have worked together with Sahara Sam’s Indoor Water Park to provide an end of the Season Party for all GT Lions Football Players & Cheerleaders.  This party will be on Friday, December 4^th, 2009 from 4:30pm to 8:30pm. 

All players & cheerleaders admission fees will be paid by the league and anyone else will be an $18 admission.

An organization is only as good as its volunteers - Come out & be a part of our organization. Its a great way to meet our members & families!!  There is always help needed!
