GTC Gymnasts Win at Empire State Games
Three Gymnasts from The Gymnastics Training Center of Rochester competed at the Empire State Games in Buffalo July 25-26th. The gymnasts, joined with 4 athletes from the Buffalo area to represent the Western Team for the Open Gymnastics Competition. The Western Team won a silver medal at this competition.

Emily Green of Penfield won the gold medal for all-around with a score of 37.30.

Green took the silver medal on vault, uneven bars and balance beam at event finals.

Lydia Barrett, also from Penfield earned a bronze medal at event finals on the floor exercise.

Brittany Voll from Fairport gave a strong performance and won a spot at event finals on uneven bars.

Maria Filatova Kourbatova, Sasha Kourbatov and Vladimir Simikov coach the gymnastics team. GTC is located in Penfield and owned by Sarah Jane Clifford.
