Many GRIZZLY HOCKEY players (IP-Pee Wee) participated in the Bearpaw Hockey Camp in Aspen Colorado the week of June 21. GRIZZLY HOCKEY coach, Jon Thompson, coordinated the event, while GRIZZLY HOCKEY players, Levi Fetterhoff and Jake Bair assisted on the ice. This is the tenth year Coach Thompson, has been able to provide affordable and local access to elite hockey coaching and training.

Hockey is an expensive sport and your participation and support will help ensure our registration fees remain some of the lowest in our leagues. Over the years, our golf tournament has been played in Parachute, New Castle and now in our hometown, Glenwood Springs! Liberty Mutual recognizes the importance of community investment in youth sports. That’s why they created the Responsible Sports Community Grant program. The more community support we can show for Glenwood Springs Youth Hockey through Responsible Sports by November 30th, 2009, the better our chances of earning $2,500. Players, parents and coaches our stongly encouraged to participapte! Ten minutes is all it takes and it reinforces why we all particpate in sport! We are competing, nationally, for the grant with organizations that have fewer than 200 members. Once you complete it, forward it on to friends and realtives!
Over 130 credits earned, so far, towards the $2500 Community Grant!

Mandatory 2009-2010 CAHA Registration for Coaches, Managers and Board Members! "CLICK HERE"
CAHA has implemented the online background screening program in partnership with Acxiom Information Security Services (Acxiom) and USA Hockey. In accordance with CAHA Bylaws and Policies and Procedures all coaches (head and assistants), managers, referees, board members, billet families, and other individuals who have routine access to children (anyone under the age of majority) must consent to be screened through Axciom. If you refuse to provide all of the requested information required for CAHA to process your background check, you will be required to obtain the necessary background check(s) at your expense through Acxiom. NOTE: Individuals under 18 years of age are NOT allowed to register. We cannot perform background check for anyone under 18.

- Congratulations to Director of Hockey & Bantam Head Coach, Timothy TK Kwiatkowski, and his wife, Ema, and daughter, Hailey, for the birth of Henrik Bodin Kwiatkowski. Henrik arrived on December 24 and weighed 8 lbs 9 oz was 21 1/4 in length. What a wonderful Christmas gift!

Raffle Ticket Fundraising Drive!
All players should have received their raffle tickets and be actively selling them! We are very grateful to our prize donors, Design Audio Visual, Alpine Bank and Ski Sunlight! Due to the delay in the opening of the Glenwood Ice Rink, the skate party and drawing had to be rescheduled to December 6, 2008.
If you have any questions regarding the raffle tickets, please do not hesitate to contact your team manager.
One player has already sold 50% more tickets than required and donated the extra sales ($100) to the scholarship fund, which was matched by a GRIZZLY parent for a $200 donation to the scholarship fund!

Peter shared ideas with Ron Biggers and Kirk concerning Locker rooms. Kirk presented financial statements. Accounts Receivables are amount owed from registration. We need to send out a reminder that cards will be charged automatically Dec. 15, for those that chose the two payment option. Inventories for sale @ 7k represent Grizzley Gear. Inventories for use needs to be depreciated. Fixed assets- laptop, printer?, software. Payroll liabilities paid yesterday. Budget Sheet Corporate Contributions should be closer to 10K. Currently @ 7K. Gross Sales- Inventory will increase around 4K. Golf Tourney based on this year’s event. Banquet @ 2K will be 0 Other Costs @ 4200.00 will soon go up- Warm-ups, jerseys, expenses, coaching clinic. Welcome Cassie- Kirk motioned to vote in to the Board. Mike- 2nd.
