Mountain States Ice Arena (217 Miles)
Located at 5807 W. 20th Street in Greeley, Colorado, the rink has a wonderful history of serving both the youth and adults of Northern Colorado for over 25 years at this location. In 1980, the Norcross family opened Warnoco West Roller Skating Rink. The family had operated the Warnoco Roller Skating Rink on 2nd Street since 1935. The Warnoco Rinks held the Rocky Mountain Roller Skating Championships for 54 years. They also hosted countless birthday parties, school dances and church fundraisers. It served the community as a gathering place for friends, relatives and neighbors. As times change, so do the entertainment venues that interest kids.
In January, 2005, the Warnoco rink was sold. In the spring of 2005, the rink began an extensive reconstruction/renovation project in order to become an ice rink. Once again serving the youth and adults of the area. Friends, families and neighbors, young and old alike have spent many hours volunteering their time working at the rink. It has been a worthwhile experience for all.
5807 W. 20th Street is building a new legacy based on a 70 year foundation of serving the community.
