Welcome to the Home Page of the Riverdogs 10U Team
The Riverdogs Baseball Program emphasizes instruction and player development, and is ideally suited for those players eager to develop or refine the practice habits, conditioning, baseball skills, and experience that will position them well for High School and College baseball programs.
The 2009 10U Riverdogs team is an AAU travel baseball club open to players 10 and under as of April 30th, 2009 - players must be born on or after 5/1/98 to be elligible for this team. The Riverdogs program has typically drawn players from southeastern MA, with players for 2009 expected from area towns including Mansfield, Attleboro, Bridgewater, Raynham, and Falmouth, MA. The 2009 10U team is currently recruiting additional players to join a nucleus of Riverdogs. This is the 10U team's inaugural season and it is looking to capitalize on manager Ken Southworth’s experience being an assistant with the 2007 10U and 2008 11U Riverdog programs.
Preseason indoor workouts are held at Grand Slam Hitting and Training facility in Taunton, with outdoor practices and home games played at a number of fields in the greater Taunton area. Tryouts for the 2009 Riverdogs 12U team for new players interested in the program are currently being scheduled by appointment. It is anticipated that the team will begin indoor practices in January 2009, and begin their 2009 game schedule in early April 2009.
Anyone interested in more information on the Riverdogs 10U program should contact manager Ken Southworth (K_southworth1068@yahoo.com , phone 508-269-5458) for more details.
