Changes to Bat Rules and Little League's Facebook Page Information
Dear Little League Volunteers and Friends,
This message, being sent to more than 400,000 Little League volunteers and parents, is to let you know about an announcement regarding upcoming changes to the bat rules and specifications for the 2012 season.
We will be releasing the complete details tomorrow (Thursday, Nov. 3) on our Facebook page. If you have not already signed up to be a "fan" of Little League's Facebook page, this would be a good opportunity to do so.
Little League has posted thousands of messages on Facebook over the past two years, and it has become an excellent way for us to communicate quickly and directly with volunteers and parents - while giving them an opportunity to interact with other volunteers and parents around the world.
To become a fan, just visit www.Facebook.com/LittleLeagueBaseballAndSoftball, and click on the "Like" button. Then, whenever there are important announcements from Little League International, you will be among the first to receive them. It's free, and it's the best way to stay informed for the vast majority of people who may never attend a Little League clinic or seminar.
We also will be posting the new bat rules on the Little League Web Site tomorrow. So if you can't sign up for Facebook updates, you can just go to www.LittleLeague.org to view the update when it's posted.
Little League is taking this step, before the rule books are actually published in December, to give parents and leagues a timely "heads up."
As always, thank you for your support of Little League Baseball and Softball.
Sincerely,
Little League Baseball and Softball
