ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY
There is a “zero tolerance policy” of anyone responsible for physical or verbal abuse directed towards officials, coaching staffs, players, or other spectators during the use of this facility.
Refrain from comments that could be considered offensive or derogatory by anyone. These remarks are totally unacceptable, and an inappropriate and disgusting display to be observed by any child, regardless of age.
The players are going to play. It is not your right – it is your privilege to attend.
There will be no warnings. If you are ejected for physical or verbal abuse, you will not be allowed to attend any function in the facility. The facility user and the City of London will enforce this policy. |
DUAL REGISTRATION NOT ALLOWED
"Any OHF registered Minor Hockey player or team official who participates in a game, tournament, training camp, prospect camp, selection camp or other similar event (other than those organized and operated by recognized academic institutions, native-people organizations) that is not sanctioned by the OHA or a Member Partner and that interferes with his OHF team’s regular season or play-off schedule shall immediately be suspended for one year."
All of the GLHA associations are members of the Ontario Hockey Federation. If you are currently registered with one of the 6 GLHA associations, you may not register with any other hockey association for the season.
Greater London Hockey Association participants (ie players registered with L.M.H.A., North London, Oakridge, South London, Southeast London, or West London) are covered under Hockey Canada Insurance while participating in approved hockey events. i.e.: tryouts, practices, games, playoffs and with an approved travel permit, tournament and exhibition games.
You are NOT covered under Hockey Canada Insurance while participating in "3 on 3" tournaments, while playing on most "summer" hockey teams or while participating in some hockey schools/camps.
We advise all participants to purchase their own insurance if playing in these events.

ARE YOU PLAYING WHERE YOU LIVE?
From the Alliance Handbook:
PLAYERS CHANGING RESIDENCE
17.1 In the event of a legitimate move, the ALLIANCE Executive shall have the power to grant a transfer, if in their opinion, the player is entitled to the same.
17.2 Any player qualified under this rule who legitimately moves during the playing season shall have the choice of finishing the season with his/her original team or with a team in the centre to which he/she has moved.
At the start of a new season, a Residential Move Form must be submitted by the current association on behalf of the player, to support the fact that a player has moved to a new association and is no longer residing at the address where he was registered the previous year.
Because a player's move may be pending shortly after the start of a season, the GLHA Affiliation Agreement has a "courtesy clause". This allows that a player may register for the association where he will definitely be moving and will reside for the majority of the hockey season. From the Affiliation Agreement:
(6) All players must otherwise register with, and play for, the Affiliated Association within whose boundaries they ordinarily reside (no business or other address may be used) at the time of registering except as noted below:
(a) where they are grandfathered as set out in Appendix “B” unless they voluntarily register with their residence association in which case their grandfathering is at an end: (NOTE: Grandfathering began in 1991 and has no affect on current players);
(b) where they can establish to the satisfaction of the G.L.H.A. that they will have moved their residence by January 1st of that hockey season;
(c) where there has been a parental separation and the player now has residences in more than one Affiliated Association, then the player will normally be expected to register with their existing Affiliated Association assuming the residency requirement is still fulfilled but may seek G.L.H.A. approval to register in the location of the second residence, and if granted, must remain with the new Affiliated Association subject to a further change of that parent’s address;
(d) or otherwise by approval of the G.L.H.A. which approval must be agreed to by the player’s usual residence association;
On January 2nd, the GLHA Board will ensure that all players who have exercised their rights under section (b) have in fact moved to that new address. Any player who is found to be in violation of the Residency requirement and is not living where they are registered, will be removed from the program for the balance of the season - no exception.
If a player has registered according to where they intend to move before the end of 2005, they should be aware that if they are NOT living there on January 1st, the GLHA will bring this to the attention of the Alliance, their playing rights will be forfeited with that association, and they will have to return to their appropriate association to complete their season as a house league player subject to availability. The GLHA Board is aware of several players who fall into this category and will be monitoring the situation. If you have concerns about meeting your Residency Requirements, contact the President of the Association where you actually live now.
