GJLS concession stands help keep registration fees lowThere are concession stands at all of the fields. There are hot dogs, hamburgers, brats, bottled water, soft drinks, candy, etc. (depending on the location of the stand).
Parents are required to help staff the stands. Your coach will organize the schedule for your team.
Generally, teams playing next to the concession stand are responsible for working. This allows a parent to keep an eye on his or her child’s game. In some cases, however, teams will need to staff the stand when their child plays on a field further away from the stand. This sometimes happens when make-up games are played.
The revenue from the concession stands help fund the operation of the league. This helps keep the registration costs down in the league. Without the revenue, each registration fee would be approximately $30 higher.
GJLS needs Stand Leaders at all locations. Please speak to a league official to volunteer or learn more about the duties associated with this very important position.
