Gahanna Junior League Sports: Travel Baseball

GJLS sanctions competitive teams each year through the Gahanna Lions Travel Baseball program. Travel baseball players pay registration fees to GJLS and are financially self-sufficient. The registration fees paid by travel team players cover the cost of diamond space and some catcher's gear provided to each team by GJLS. All other expenses incurred by the travel teams (uniforms, umpires, insurance, baseballs, indoor rentals, tournament entry fees and related expenses) are paid for by the players.
The travel teams compete in the Central Ohio Youth Baseball League (COYBL). The teams are registered nationally through Nations Baseball.
Tryouts for travel teams are generally conducted in August each year for the following season's teams. Check the GJLS home page or news page for announcements. Tryouts dates may also be advertised in the Gahanna community newspaper.
Travel baseball team tryouts are held each year in August and September for the following year's teams. Tryouts are generally announced during July or August. For exact dates, visit this site or look for posters at the concession stands. The dates may also be published in the local newspapers.
In 2009 our U9, U10, U14 teams won their divisions. U10 Team won the Conference. U11 Team won their National Tournament.
