Girls Junior Lacrosse of Poway: Welcome

Spring 2015 Girls Lacrosse

Spring Season 2015  

This league is for girls in the 1st-8th grades.  GJLOP is a non-profit organization that teaches leadership, teamwork, and physical development through lacrosse.

There are two ways to register for the 2015 Spring Season:

1) After January 19th, drop off a completed registration package and check in the locked mailbox at 15239 Espola Rd. (The registration form is located under the registration tab on this website.) Or,

2) Bring your completed registration package and check to the Poway Pilates (14053 Midland Rd.) in Old Poway on Feb 2nd, between 6:30 and 7:30pm.

The first practice will be held on Monday, February 9th. Each week, practices will be held on Monday and Wednesday at the following times:

          5th-8th grade girls: 3:30-5:30 on Monday and Wednesday

          1st-4th grade girls: 3:30-4:30 on Monday, and 3:30-5:00 on Wednesday

Practices will be held on the upper practice field at Twin Peaks middle school. League games are generally held on Saturdays.

Girls Program Philosophy

We strive to provide each player the appropriate age level of coaching instruction; we seek to build a player’s confidence in learning lacrosse skills; we aspire to develop a sense of teamwork and fair play; we honor the game by respecting the rules, our opponents, officials, our teammates and ourselves; and we aim to develop character values that will benefit today’s players in later years and in other endeavors. Players will learn the value of teamwork, determination, and commitment, and HAVE FUN playing lacrosse.
