Girls Junior Lacrosse of Poway: Welcome

Fall 2015 Girls Lacrosse

Fall Season 2015

A big congratulations to the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls who won the 'C' and 'D' division championships at the San Diego Shootout this past spring! Way to go Poway!

League Information

This league is for girls in the 1st-8th grades.  GJLOP is a non-profit organization that teaches leadership, teamwork, and physical development through lacrosse.

*Important: In past years, there have not been enough interested 1st - 4th grade girls to warrant having a 'Minis' team in the Fall. If you have a 1st-4th grade daughter interested in playing, please contact Anastasia at or 503.201.1939, and if we have enough interest, we will form a team.

There are two ways to register for the 2015 Fall Season:

1) After August 1st, mail a completed registration packet and check in the amount of the dues to 15239 Espola Rd., Poway CA 92064, or feel free to drop your registration packet / check in our locked mailbox. (The registration form is located under the registration tab on this website.) Or,

2) Bring your completed registration packet and check to the Poway Pilates (14053 Midland Rd.) in Old Poway on August 11th, between 6:00pm and 7:00pm. Visa/MC/Discover/Amex are accepted, but we will charge a $5 convenience fee.

The first practice date is TBD. Practices will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays each week between 3:30 and 5:30pm.

The practice location has not yet been finalized, but we are expecting to use the lower practice field at Twin Peaks middle school. League games are generally held on Saturdays.

Girls Program Philosophy

We strive to provide each player the appropriate age level of coaching instruction; we seek to build a player’s confidence in learning lacrosse skills; we aspire to develop a sense of teamwork and fair play; we honor the game by respecting the rules, our opponents, officials, our teammates and ourselves; and we aim to develop character values that will benefit today’s players in later years and in other endeavors. Players will learn the value of teamwork, determination, and commitment, and HAVE FUN playing lacrosse.
