 Marlins' Day with FTLL

May 24, 2009

We have organized a day with the Marlins on May 24, 2009.  We have reserved bullpen box seats for $13 each (regular $28 gameday).  It will be a great day for teams, families and friends to celebrate the year watching the Marlins play the 2009 American League pennant winners - the Tampa Bay Rays.

The Marlins are playing great this year and have been fun to watch.  We want you to invite as many interested family and friends for this great price.  Please give the completed forms to your coach by May 10th.

FTLL/NELL End of Season Picnic

31 May, 2009

On May 31, we will have the annual picnic for celebrating the accomplishments of the players throughout the year.  We will have a couple of FTLL/NELL All-Star games and as always lots of great food and fun.

The season trophies will be handed out at the picnic as well as the player and team photos.  We are also organizing a basket auction to help support our non-for-profit organization.  See you all there!!

"Thank You" To All The Great Volunteers!!!

Fort Lauderdale Little League was founded in 1952.  Since that time there have been many wonderful volunteers that have given an enormous amount of time and energy to the league.  This year is no exception, we have a Board that has worked very hard on raising sponsorship funds, organizing great events (including coaches training with Joe Girardi), improving league rules for the enjoyment and development of our players, as well as, the day to day activities of registration, team organization, schedule and umpire coordination, etc.  We cannot forget the coaches that work very hard for our players and our league.  We want to thank these volunteers for all of their support and energy that they continue to provide to our league.

Additionally, it is important to thank some volunteers that have given an immeasurable amount of time, energy and patience to continue to make our league the best community baseball program in the area.  Two volunteers that stand on top of this list are Beth Cundy and Brian Hall.  They have given unselfishly to the league for so many years.  We owe a lot of gratitude for their efforts - and please when you see them thank them personally as their families and companies have given an emormous contribution to our league.
