Your child is not eligible to play in our league if you live outside the league boundaries. - Birth Certificates:
All players must have a copy of a government-issued proof-of-age document (birth certificate or passport) on file with the league. If your child is new to the Fox Point/East Side Little League this year, you must provide us with an original proof-of-age document (birth certificate or passport) during the Spring Tryout/Evaluation Sessions. We will make a photocopy of your original document and return the original document to you on the spot. If your child is a returning player, we already have a birth certificate on file; you do NOT need to provide us with another one! Please note: Religious documents such as baptismal certificates are NOT valid for this purpose.

- Evaluation Sessions (Additional Information)
All players ages 10 - 12 are required to attend at least one of our two Spring Evaluation Sessions! We do not hold evaluation sessions for players ages 5 - 9. We recommend that you arrive 15 minutes prior to the evaluation session. Your child should come to the session with a baseball glove, sneakers and dressed in clothes that are suitable for play. At the start of the session the session leader will make a few introductory remarks to the players and they will then be divided up into small groups for evaluation. Each group will be asked to perform a variety of fundamental baseball skills - throwing, catching, and hitting. The evaluation results are confidential and are for use by the team selection committee only. Your child should be notified of his/her team assignment within 2 weeks of the final evaluation session.

- Team Selection Process:
During our team selection process we strive to ensure that:
- teams within each division are well balanced and fair
- each child is placed in the division that is the best match for his/her developmental skills
- siblings (in the same division) are assigned together or apart per their parent's wishes
- girls are balanced among the teams - whenever possible, at least 2 girls will be placed on each team
We rely on our evaluation sessions to place our older (10+) players and our coaches' knowlege of the players in order to make the team assignments for the younger players.
