A highlight of the season
The Fox Valley Renegades 14U fastpitch softball team ended the 2005 season with a 7-2 loss to the Texas Sting at the AFA National Tournament in Rockford.
The Renegades finished 4-3 in the tournament and in the top 24 of the 150-plus teams participating.
After allowing 2 runs in the first inning, the Renegades and pitcher Kelsey Schumann settled down to hold the Sting to a 2-2 tie entering the top of the seventh inning.

A highlight of the season
Going into the third round of the AFA National tournament in Beaumont, Texas the Fox Valley Renegades 18-and-under softball team is winning games in a dizzying fashion.
The Renegades defeated the Texas Babes in the final game of the second round 2-1 behind a pair of solid pitching performances to increase their tournament winning streak to 5 straight in as many attempts.

A Highlight of season
The Fox Valley Renegades 18 & under softball team improved its record to 35-17 with an impressive 8-0 performance at the Barrington American Fastpitch Association National qualifier last weekend.
En route to their first place finish and a bid to the AFA National Tournament in Texas, the Renegades allowed just 14 runs and had only 2 games in which they committed an error.
The flawless defense was only heightened by pitchers Elissa Wisniewski (4 wins) and Janette Ciesel (3 wins) who allowed 8 and 6 runs respectively for the weekend.
16U - USSSA Nationals - Midland, Michigan
A Highlight of the season
The Fox Valley Renegades 16 & under travel softball team completed its 2002 season with a 6-2 record at the USSSA World Series in Canton, Mich.
The Renegades went undefeated in pool play, defeating the Omaha Sizzle 8-0, the Ohio Predators 2-0 and the Colorado Astros 5-1 behind the strong pitching of Niki Schulty and Kim Ostrowski.
Once in bracket play the Renegades beat Aqua Falls Sharks 7-5 before losing their first game 3-2 to NW Ohio Lady Irish.

A Highlight of the season
Fox Valley Renegades sisters Amanda Schacht (6-for-17, 5 RBI) and Allison Schacht (4-for-8, 2 walks) batted a combined .426 and knocked in 5 runs while leading their 18 & under travel softball team in an ASA sponsored tournament in Cincinnati, Ohio this past weekend.
The Renegades lost their first 2 games of pool play but bounced back with back-to-back wins against the Michigan Gold and the Nashville Wild Things to finish pool play at 2-2.

A Highlight of the season
The Fox Valley Renegades 16 & under softball team competed in the AFA National Tournament last summer - and made it a goal to not only return to a National tournament this summer, but to specifically get back to that one.
The Renegades did just that. They spent last week in Shawnee, Kan., where they went 7-3 and finished 13th out of 116 teams from across the country.

14U - NSA Nationals - Columbus, Ohio
A Highlight of the season
The Fox Valley Renegades 14U girls softball team took fifth out of 53 teams at the National Softball Association state tournament in Schaumburg last weekend.
The fifth-place finish qualifies the team to participate in the national tournament in Columbus, Ohio starting July 24.
The Renegades won their first three games, advancing to the semifinals of the winner's bracket before losing to the eventual champions, the Beverely Bandits.
The Renegades opened the tournament with an 8-0 win over the Lincolnwood Lightning.

A season Highlight
The Fox Valley Renegades U-16 fastpitch softball team went 7-0 and captured the championship of the Elgin Heat Shootout this past weekend at the Elgin Sports Complex.
The championship qualifies the Renegades for the ASA Midwest National Tournament on Wichita, Kan. in August.
The Renegades pounded out 45 hits and outscored opponents 40-10 in the seven games. They defeated the Blommingdale Blast 7-1 in the championship game Sunday.
