Supporters buses.
Provisional plans are afoot to lay on supporters buses to the forthcoming matches at Wick Academy (18th February) and Cove Rangers (3rd March). With the team`s current success, there is likely to be a large demand for places on these buses. Fares will depend on the cost of hire compared with the numbers travelling - the more that travel, the cheaper the fare! Ian "Charlie" McLennan is organizing these wee "ROAD TRIPS", contact him on 07884 386151. Charlie Rowley`s squad would surely appreciate a loud and vociferous support in these vital away fixtures as we enter the final third of the best season that the can-cans have enjoyed in many a year.
Fund raising dinner
You should be aware by now that the club are holding our Annual Sportsmans ` Dinner & Auction at The Mosset Tavern on Saturday 10th March 2012 (after the Clach home fixture) with a 7-30pm start. Tickets are very reasonably priced at £40 for what promises to be a fine evening of entertainment. Former Scotland goalkeeper, Alan Rough, is the main speaker on the night, ably backed by comedian Eric Davidson. The Master of Ceremonies is legendary former Keith goalkeeper, Ian Thain and he is sure to keep things moving along while boosting the club`s coffers with the usual range of Irish Bingo, Raffles and Memorabilia Auction. Businesses and individuals are invited to contact the club`s Secretary, David Macdonald (as soon as possible please) for further informartion and to book places. This is a vital fundraiser for Forres Mechanics F.C. and your support would be most welcome.
