ALWAYS LIONS!!!
Welcome to the LIONS' DEN, home of the MIGHTY TALLWOOD LIONS! Through the years, we've won many championships, while making lifelong friends. More than that, we are a family. Check out those MIGHTY LIONS in the photo above. Forehand & Rooney were State Players of the Year in 2000 and 1998. Hubner, Bowery, and Mosley were All-State First Team in 1989, 2000, and 2002 respectively. Hales was First Team All-Academic All-State in 2000.
QUITE a PRIDE of MIGHTY LIONS!!!
ANOTHER LION V'BALL MARRIAGE!
CONGRATS to MIRANDA & CHUCK BEESON!!! We fondly remember Miranda's playing days, on that first "Coach Hubner team." GOD BLESS YOU BOTH with many, many years of wedded bliss!

MANY SCHOOLS, ONE FAMILY of FRIENDS!
There is no better time to gather around to recall the good old days when YOU were Mighty LIONS than Christmastime. When the year ends, we dine together with teammates and those who competed against us. Pictured here at one of the Hubner dinner tables are from lower left: Andy Jaeckle, First Colonial grad; Kevin Jones, First Colonial grad; Adrian Tibbs, Great Bridge grad; Brendan Rooney, Tallwood Superstar (oh my, biased LionMOM); Emerald Zemedkun, Kempsville grad; Coach Hubner, still lionizing at THS; Coach Shibuya, former THS Lion coach & currently Juniata coach; and Chris Hairston, Green Run coach. GOD BLESS those who assemble in friendship around our table. FOREVER FRIENDS!
SEVEN SENSATIONAL SENIORS in 2002
Captain Alex Brownley, a 3-year veteran, was a key hitter on the 2000 state finalist team. His #10 will be (WAS) retired at the conclusion of this season, joining those honored from that team. Captain Rob Bruce, a 2nd year player, has stepped up in an outstanding way this year. Rich Baluyot, a 2nd year player, does a terrific job as back-up setter. Derrick Wilson, a 1st-year middle, is a tremendous athlete and an essential part of the LIONS basketball team. Russell Reynoso, a 1st-year player, does a solid job both offensively and defensely. Nate Kabaitan, a 1st-year player, contributes as a defensive specialist. Francisco Albani, on loan to us from a great volleyball team in Argentina, adds fire power offensively, is a 2nd setter on the court, and is an ambassador of fun, good times, and joy. All in all, the CLASS of 2002 has given our LIONS VOLLEYBALL TEAM
