The Team 20 defense contained the Team 3 offense for almost the entire game. In the third quarter Team 3 faced a 4th and 10, when they executed a counter play that sprang the Team 3 tailback for a long touchdown run. Late in the first half the Tomahawks put together what prove to be the winning drive. The drive was highlighted by the precision passing of Jack Nguyen and a 29 yard run by Tyreek Price. As time expired in the first half, Nguyen rolled right and fired an 18 yard touchdown pass to Nolan Baker in the back of the end zone. The point after failed. The Tomahawks took a 6-0 lead at halftime. That turned out to be all the points Lakota would need to wrap up the division championship.
