Team Rules

We have been involved in the Summer League for the last 8 years. Then if you were not with us before, you have to know how we do things in this team.

TEAM RULES:

A) Commitment to games:
        1) Being at the field at least 1 hour prior to game time;
        2) If you are going to be late, let us know ahead of time;
        3) Players that show-up at the last minute will not be in the starting lineup;
        4) If we don’t call you to cancel, SHOW-UP;
        5) If you don’t show and didn’t call to let us know beforehand, next game you will be sitting
            unless we don’t have enough players;
        6) Dressing code is always in effect, two colors of pants are needed. White are for Home games,
            Gray pants for games away. Also, your uniform must be clean. Use red socks and a red belt;
        7) Discipline on and off the field, no goofing around, be serious about the baseball game. This
            summer is for you to get better, stay in shape and be seen by scouts;
        8) No criticism of Coaches or players and respect to the teammates, the other team players,
            umpires, fans, etc. We do not tolerate bad attitudes, tantrums, throwing of equipment, or talking
            back;
        9) ALL players are expected to help their coaches by bring the team equipment from their cars
              before the game and back to their cars after the game. No prima donnas, everyone is expected
              to help and also to go after foul balls during the game;
        10) Players that have not brought the money, please do so;
        11) I need you to give me 2-3 shirt number selections along with your t-shirt size and we will do
              our best to give you one of your selections, but know it will be based on availability.

B) Every player must know that paying their dues does not guarantee playing time. The money collected is
      to pay the expenses of the season. If you have any expectation of playing all the time because you
      contribute with some money for the team, it would be better that you talk to us before the season starts
      and that way we will clarify that with you. If you don’t agree, we will gladly return your money and
      take you off the roster.

       Please know that the coaches don’t make any money out of this. Not only that, we spend a lot of our
       own money and time for the love of the game. No player is better or more important than the team as a
       whole.

C) Player most likely won’t play in every gave and every inning so we will rotate players to the best of our
      ability.

D) Pitchers that also are position players won’t do both in the same game unless we don’t have more
      players that game. If you are scheduled to pitch, you will only pitch in that game. Right now we have a
      full team, which means that each player have a primary position, even if they can play another (except
      some pitchers, etc.). Do your job well and it will be easy to rotate and give playing time to everyone
      more evenly. Even so, in the game of baseball there will always be someone who plays more then
      others (this is due to performance, commitment, work ethics, and following the rules).

Remember, this season is for you guy’s to get better and have a good time.

Best wishes,        The Florida Angels
