Thank you for visiting the "Five Cities Girls Softball" website. 

Five Cities is a Recreational fastpitch softball league for girls from the ages of 5 to 16. We stress the term "Recreational" as this is a league for all girls who want to be a part of a team no matter what her level of play.

This team will play tournaments in the Sacramento area, and a few tournaments out of the area (Reno, Modesto, maybe the Bay Area).  We plan to play 7 tournaments, and in a weeknight league as well.  We will practice 2-3 days/week, at Loomis Park.  The approximate cost per player is ~$425. This includes tournament fees, uniforms, and equipment/field fees.  Practice will start early-mid August, and our last tournament will be the first weekend in December. This is an excellent opportunity for players to develop their skills and experience a higher level of play. This team is designed to prepare players for high school softball, and we are working in conjunction with the Del Oro Softball program to provide a “feeder program” for the high school.

Our coaches are Tammy Vinton & Kevin Pool. Tammy Vinton has over 20 years experience as a player, and over 10 years coaching experience. She has coached MVLA Softball, Rocklin Girls Fastpitch (including All Stars) and The Rocklin Hype.  She has ASA level 1 coaching certification and is a certified umpire as well.Kevin Pool has coached recreational softball and travel ball, and coached The Hype with Tammy Vinton.  He has ASA level 1 & 2 coaching certification, and many years experience as a player. Chris Paull will assist the coaches.  He has coached at 5 Cities for 8 years, including All Stars. 

TRYOUTS WILL BE THURSDAY JULY 16TH AND THURSDAY JULY 23RD at Loomis Park, on King Road from 5 to 7 PM.  Any players interested should plan to attend one or preferably both of these tryouts.  For more information, please call Heather Paull, 916-316-7991.
