Filly Team Rules

 

  1. Be at Practice
    1. If practice starts at 6:00PM, be there at 5:50PM so that your daughter can fix her hair, go to the restroom, etc. and she will be ready for practice at 6:00PM.
    2. Missing practices will result in reduction of playing time for your daughter.

c.        A player with professional lessons on the same night as practices should give preference to the lessons, but still try to attend practices.

 

  1. Be at Games
    1. Players are expected to arrive  1 hour and 15 minutes prior to gametime.
    2. Missing games or being habitually late to games will result in a reduction in playing time or removal from the team.

 

  1. Be on Time
    1. Plan for enough time to get your daughter to practices and games.  If you are running late or will not be attending, call the manager or coaches.

 

  1. Pay Your Dues on Time
    1. $50 per month dues are payable by the 5th of each month.
    2. Non-payment of dues will result in a reduction of playing time and possible removal from the team.

 

  1. Contribute Your Time and Effort to Filly Fundraisers
    1. Participate in stocking and running the snack bar during friendlies.
    2. Participate actively in all Filly fundraisers.  This keeps our dues down.

 

  1. Tell the Manager or Coaches If You Have an Issue Regarding the Team Or Your Daughter
    1. Feel free to speak to the manager if you have an issue/problem.
    2. Don’t let an issue fester, talk to the manager about it right away.
    3. Avoid “venting” with the other parents about the manner in which the team is managed or coached.  Talk to the manager.

 

  1. Support The Team During Games.
    1. Please support the girls verbally during the games.
    2. Please refrain from umpire commentary during the games.  The manager will interact with the umpire on behalf of our team.
    3. Win with pride and dignity.
    4. Lose with pride and dignity

 

  1.  Do Not Approach or Converse With Your Daughter During Games or Practices

a.        Your daughters need to be totally focused on softball during practices and games.  They are not focused on softball when they are talking to parents.  Players who talk to their parents or leave the dugout without permission during games or practices will experience immediate loss or playing time.
