| By Matthew Hoekstra By CASEY OLSON, The Mirror Western Washington University men’s basketball coach Brad Jackson announced Monday that Morris Anderson, who is currently attending Highline Community College and graduated from Federal Way High School, has signed a national letter of intent to compete for the Vikings. A 6-foot-3 guard, Anderson was a first-team Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges Western Division all-star as a sophomore at Highline last season. He averaged 14 points in helping the Thunderbirds to a 21-9 record, the region co-championship and the quarterfinals at the NWAACC tournament, where they lost to eventual champion Clackamas CC in double overtime, 85-84. Anderson earned second-team, all-tournament recognition. As a freshman at Highline, Anderson played on a 23-7 squad that won the NWAACC championship. As a senior at Federal Way, Anderson was the Mirror’s All-City player of the year. He averaged 15.0 points and shot 52 percent from 3-point range.
