I want to welcome you to Ft. Richardson and thank you for supporting your little leaguers. Lets make this a season to remember. For many of you it may be your first time to visit us and for others this will be a reminder of the process for entry onto Ft. Richardson Army Post.
Coming into the main gate you will need to stay to the right and pull into the parking area. You will need to enter the building to get a day pass. It is extremely important that you bring the following documents: Current Drivers License, Current Proof of Insurance, and your Automobile Registration.
Let the security personnel know where you are going and for what purpose. Depending on the traffic this process can take sometimes 5 to 10 minutes, so it is a good idea to plan on getting to your games at Ft. Richardson early just in case there are problems at the Gate. Follow the Glenn Highway to the Hiland Road exit. Stay to the right when exiting. Follow that road until you come to a stop light where Walmart is on the right (3 stop lights after exit) Turn left on to Eagle River Rd. The ball fields are on the left (immediate left).

Palmer Junior Field
Coming from Anchorage, take the Glenn Highway into Palmer. At the traffic signal with the Palmer-Wasilla Highway turn right (this is also called Evergreen Ave) - there will be a McDonald's on one corner and a Chevron Gas Station on the other. Proceed approximately 5-6 blocks on Evergreen Ave to a stop sign at Alaska Ave. The railroad tracks and the Palmer Library will be immediately ahead. Continue straight, going over the railroad tracks to another stop sign at Valley Way. Turn right on Valley Way and then take the first left, which is Elmwood Ave. Proceed east on Elmwood Ave past the libary, then the Colony Inn Cafe, and finally past a large white building which is a Veterans facility (all of these are on the left). Just past the large white building will be the Junior ball fields (on the left). [Last revised: May 2009]

Soldotna
After coming in to Soldotna on the Sterling Hwy cross over the Kenai River bridge (heading south at this point). The first stop light past the bridge is K-Beach (Kalifonsky) road. Turn right here and follow it around for about 1/2 mile, looking for the State Troopers building on the left. On the right, just past the Troopers building, will be the baseball fields. If you come to United Rentals then you've gone too far.
