Amended Bylaws 2007-2008 Season

Franklin Regional Girls Volleyball Booster Bylaws 

This shall be a non-profit organization. The name of this organization shall be: Franklin Regional Volleyball Boosters. 

Membership:         

Membership includes but is not limited to, parents, coaches, and friends of the Franklin Regional Girls Volleyball Team.  Dues for voting membership shall be one dollar.  The secretary will record membership. 

Officers: 

President

ü      The president shall organize and run all Booster and executive board meetings.

ü      The president shall insure all committee and chair positions are filled.

ü      The president shall insure all responsibilities of the Boosters occur according to the dates and times established by the Boosters. 

Vice President

ü      The vice president shall act as president in the event of the absence of the president.

ü      The vice president shall share and participate in all the duties of the president as decided and agreed upon by them. 

Treasurer

ü      The treasurer shall receive and deposit all funds.

ü      The treasurer shall disburse all funds approved by the boosters.

ü      The treasurer shall maintain and present the current budget including all deposits and disbursements. 

Secretary

ü      The secretary shall keep a record of all meetings.

ü      The secretary shall keep a record of all players and membership of the Boosters.  This shall include addresses and phone numbers.

ü      The secretary shall be responsible for collating and presenting the slate of officers at the time of elections. 
 

Committee Chairs

ü      The chairpersons shall fulfill all duties of their committee as outlined and defined by that position. 

Elections

v     The election for incoming executive board members shall occur at the close of the Volleyball season and prior to the banquet.

v     The incoming offers shall start their term at the close of the banquet.

v     The executive board, along with general membership, will receive nominations to present a slate of officers for a vote.  The slate will be presented and voted on at the general membership meeting.

v     Chair positions do not require a vote. Funds

v     The funds raised by the boosters shall be used and disbursed as voted by the membership.

v     The boosters will maintain a carry over from year to year of at least one thousand dollars.

v     Fundraising shall occur as decided upon by the membership.

v     All funds raised will be used exclusively for the support of the volleyball program.

v     The president and/or treasurer have check writing authority.

v     Any sum over two hundred dollars must be approved by vote of the booster group.  A quorum is required for said vote.

v     Should the team and/or boosters disband, the monies remaining in the account shall be distributed equally among the current membership. 

Bylaws

v     The bylaws can only be amended at a general meeting called by the executive committee.

v     A majority of the executive committee must be present at the meeting.

v     Bylaws may only be amended with a quorum of the voting membership.

v     A quorum consists of twenty five percent voting membership.

v     Bylaws shall be reviewed annually.
