USEFUL FACTS & QUESTIONS

Q. How much does "TWO'S COMPANY" cost?
A. Each job is tailor made to the customer so it would be wrong to give a general price for the band.
This depends on a couple factors e.g.. Length of playing time, distance to venue ect.



Q. How long does it take "TWO'S COMPANY"to set up?
A. We arrive at least an hour before the starting time unless otherwise arranged.
Over the years we've played in most of the major hotels, pubs & clubs in Central Scotland so we have a good idea before we arrive at most functions. It takes us approximately 30 minutes to complete a set up and sound check for the average engagement.


Q. Special requests?
A. Our play list is very flexible so if there are songs you definitely want included (or excluded!) just let us know.
Of course if you wish a song that's special to you and we don't already do it -we'll learn it ...given enough notice.


Q. Does the size of venue matter?
A. Within reason we can set up and play in most situations..

Q. How do I make a booking?
A. Simply call ALEX 07783618321 or EMAIL us and we’ll get back to you.

Q. Can I book "TWO'S COMPANY" provisionally?
A. We are happy to hold a particular date for you although we do ask that you confirm one way or the other within a week or so. If we receive an enquiry in the meantime we’ll make sure we give you first refusal.

Q. Has "TWO'S COMPANY" got full Public Liability cover and a current PAT certificate?
A. Yes. We are happy to provide copies of the relevant certificates on request. An increasing number of hotels and venues now insist that all entertainers have both Public Liability cover and a valid Portable Appliance Test (PAT) electrical certificate.

Q. Can we use your sound system for speeches/raffles etc?
A. By all means, although bear in mind that this facility will not be available to you until after we have set up our equipment and had a full sound check.

Q. Can "TWO'S COMPANY" provide pre-recorded music when not performing?
A. We have got a range of CD music that we can play either to keep the party going between our live sets and/or to provide background music (for example, while your guests are eating). We've also got some excellent disco lights that add to the atmosphere.

Q. Do I need to arrange a changing room for you?
A. Your venue should be happy to provide this free of charge.

Q. Can I see "TWO'S COMPANY" play live?
A. We try to make a point of playing at least once a month in a local pub or club. It's fun! Tho' the set wouldn't necessarily be representative of what we'd play at a private function, it gives prospective clients a chance to meet the band.

Q. Can we take photos or video "TWO'S COMPANY"?
A. Yes, we are happy for you to do this. It is always nice to see the photos afterwards so we'd love it if you could email us some pics!

Q. We would like to hire a disco or karaoke along with ""TWO'S COMPANY"can you recommend anyone?
A. We can recommend a professional disco or karaoke just let us know if you would like to hear more about this.

Q. How experienced is "TWO'S COMPANY"?
A. The band is made up of experienced, professional musicians (see our biographies) and we have played together as a gigging band for 9 years. During that time we have played at hundreds of different events at venues ranging from hotels and private residences to music clubs and outdoor festivals.

Q. How far does "TWO'S COMPANY" travel?
A. We travel both nationally and internationally to play at events. Our quote will include all travel expenses.

Q. How much power does "TWO'S COMPANY" require, what are the minimum electrical requirements?
A. "TWO'S COMPANY" can be powered from 2 or preferably 3 separate 13-amp plug sockets.

Q.The events manager at the venue informed us that there is a limit on the volume the venue can allow. Can "TWO'S COMPANY" meet this requirement?
A. Yes, we can adjust volume levels to suit both the client and the venue. It is best to let us know in advance if the venue has a very strict requirement on volume and we will either tailor our set-up and performance accordingly, or if the venue is for acoustic (unplugged) music only, recommend an alternative band.

Q. What does the "TWO'S COMPANY" band members wear on stage? Can you fit the theme of our event?
A. We always dress smartly to suit the occasion. If your having a fancy dress or theme night please let us know in advance as we love to dress accordingly & join in the fun.

Q. What happens if I need to cancel my booking?
A. We are aware that not everything in life runs perfectly and in the event of a genuine and unavoidable reason for late cancellation, we will make every attempt to play for you on an alternative date or, in certain circumstances, waive our cancellation charges.

Q.The function suite where you'll be playing for my wedding reception is in the room where we're having our meal. When will you set up your equipment?
A. This is normal. Once your meal and speeches are over, you and your guests will most likely be moved to another room to allow staff to clear and rearrange the tables. This is when we will set up our equipment.

Q. We have booked "TWO'S COMPANY" to start playing at 8:30pm but it's 8:30 now and I'm still eating my pudding. What gives?
A. If you look out side you'll most likely see us twiddling our thumbs and dreaming about your pudding. You'll also be aware that this situation is completely out with our control and we'll do everything in our power to set up and get going as quickly as possible..

Q. How do we pay "TWO'S COMPANY"?
A. We require a deposit to book the date in our diary.
We will then send you a letter of confirmation.
If you like, you can pay the balance by cheque, but please note we require this 14 DAYS PRIOR TO THE FUNCTION.
You can pay the balance on the night - prior to the start of the evening - and in cash please.
It's one of our golden rules, and - let's face it - being paid always puts us in a good mood for a party!


Q. How many Vocalists and how do you cover illness?
A. "TWO'S COMPANY" have 2 vocalists providing harmonies and lead so we are not going to let you down if one of us has a cold. Three vocals make a huge difference to the sound of the band and the range of songs which we can sing utilising our different styles.

Why hire a band through an agency and pay extra money for a middleman when you can deal with us direct?
You get our very personal attention and also save money.

When making a booking enquiry please provide as much information as possible about the event. This will enable us to respond to your enquiry effectively and provide you with an accurate quote in an efficient manner. For example, where possible please provide the following information:


1. DATE AND TIMES
Please state a time by which you'd require the band to be set up and sound checked by and started and finished by with regards to their performance.

2. LOCATION
Please specify the Town/City and Postcode (if possible.)

3. VENUE TYPE
For example a Hotel, Nightclub, Marquee, Outdoor Festival Stage etc.

4. TYPE OF EVENT
For example a Wedding, Corporate Function, Birthday Party, Music Festival, University/College Ball etc

5. REQUIREMENTS
