 Referees must be 12 years old by July 31, 2008 to referee for the Spring 2009 Season.  Training is free of cost and offered on 2/13/09 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm and 2/14/09 from 9:00 am – noon at the Fairfield Optimist Club. You are required to pass a test of a score of 70% or better before becoming approved.  The test is scheduled on 2/21/09 @ 9:00 am – 10:30 am at the Fairfield Optimist Club.  You must take the spring class if you did not take last Fall’s class (unless you received a 90% or better on your test.). Please bring a pad of paper and a pen or pencil.

You may register by sending an email to the following address: fairfieldref@gmail.com.  You must register on or before February 8, 2009. 
Games are played beginning April 18th and run through June 6th.  The times range from 9:00am to 3:00pm.  
Teens will ref players younger than themselves in divisions that range in age, depending on their experience, test score and comfort level.  There is no minimum or maximum number of games that you can ref.  You will be notified each week what time/game you have by email and you will have 24 hrs to get back to confirm you can do the games.  You will need to check your email on a daily basis.
Refs are paid based on the division they ref.  Uniforms and equipment will be talked about during the class.
