Rockledge Major Boys come up just short at Regionals!!

The Rockledge Major All-Star boys went to the Southeast Regional Tournament in Ceredo-Kenova West Virginia, tied for second place in their pool but came up short on the run differential tie-breaker to end their march to the Little League World Series.  Rockledge beat Alabama in their first game, then lost their next two games in pool play to Georgia and North Carolina.  Rockledge did come back and win their consolation game against West Virginia to end their season on a winning note.  Georgia's representative, the All-Stars from Warner Robbins won the Southeast Region.

9-10 Softball: Mims Little League (Lost @ Sectionals)

Major Softball: Mims Little League (Won Sectionals, lost at the State Tournament)

Senior Softball: Port St. John Little League (Lost @ Sectionals)

9-10 Baseball: Rockledge Little League (Lost in the State Finals to South Ft. Myers 8-6)

10-11 Baseball: North Merritt Island Little League (Won Sectionals, lost at the State Tournament)

Major Baseball: Rockledge Little League (Won State, lost Regionals @ Ceredo-Kenova West Virginia)

Junior Baseball: Rockledge Little League (Lost in the State Finals to Citrus Park 5-3)

Senior Baseball: Mims Little League (Lost @ Sectionals)

Congratulations to Merritt Island Little League's Mike Hainsel, District 22 UIC Don Guilford and Indian River City Little League's Dan Lawrence!   

Mike has been selected to umpire in the 2009 Junior Baseball Southern Regional Tournament taking place in Cartersville, Georgia.

Don has also been selected to umpire in the 2009 Major Softball Southern Regional Tournament taking place in Ceredo-Kenova West Virginia.  

Dan has also been selected to umpire in the 2009 Big League Baseball Southern Regional Tournament taking place in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.  Good Job Guys!!!
