FIRST NATION PITCHER WINS 12&U ASA "B" ALLSTAR WESTERN NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
Congratulations to Keana (Boo) Nakata (in picture above) who pitched the 2008 12&U "B" Bonita Valley Allstar Team to the 2008 12&U "B" Western National Champions.  She pitched in all 8 games and also pitched a perfect game. Because of a coaching decision she did not pitch in the national championship game but kept her focus and came in as relief pitcher and shut down a very aggressive Northridge team.  Great job Boo what a wonderful season as District, State and Western National Champions.

COACH STAN'S BIO
Coach Stan

I started playing men's fastpitch softball at the young age of 16.  I started out as a catcher but gravitated to the position of pitcher.  I played from 1969 to 1985 in men's major level reaching both ISC Worlds and ASA Nationals 17 times.  From 1985 thru 1995 I pitched internationally while in the U.S. Navy and locally in league play.  Due to a very bad arm injury from me blocking the plate on a passed ball my pitching career was terminated August 1995.

For the 26 years I pitched I won approximately 900 games, lost 450.  I threw 3 perfect games, 10 no hitters and had 30 shut outs.

Started coaching youth ball in 1975 through 2002.  The 27 years of coaching at the youth level went to ASA nationals 20 times, Triple Crown 2 times and USSSA 1 time.  Many of the players coached reached the college level and graduated from college.

Assistant/pitching coach at University California San Diego from 2002 to 2008.  While coaching there went to back to back regionals for the years 2007 and 2008.  Coach 2 high school softball teams, each reaching the CIF playoffs every year I coached.  Presently volunteering as an assistant/pitching coach at San Diego City Community College.

1975 to present pivate pitching coach.  Numerous students have won district, state, international and national championships leading to college and graduating.
