MUST KNOWS FOR PARENTS
MUST KNOWS FOR PARENTS
- Pools on post close for thunder and/or lightening. The rule is 30 mins for thunder and 60 mins for lightening – if the weather looks threatening, please do not travel far from practice pool – this includes the indoor pool
- All swimmers must be picked up promptly at the end of practice. At Gaffney in the evening, all swimmers must be out of the building by 8:45 – the coaches will remind the swimmers, but it will help if parents/rides are at the pool NLT 8:30. Morning practice swimmers must not dawdle either, as Picerne personnel must make the pool ready for the post public.
- Swimmers should arrive ready to swim – not needing to go to the locker rooms to change, etc. Practices will endeavor to start on time, every time, and this is much easier if all the swimmers are at the pool by start time.
- At Gaffney, swimmers should be sitting on the bleachers – not running around.
- At Meuse Forrest, swimmers should be waiting patiently.
- Although not an issue at this time, when the lane lines for Meuse Forrest arrive, swimmers need to help put the lines in and out – no fighting, no screaming, no pushing, no shoving… The faster the lane lines are in, the faster the rest of the team gets wet; the faster they are out after practice, the faster everyone gets to go home.
- There will be times when communication is a major problem – please bear with us. After this weekend, the website will be totally updated and should be checked regularly:

8. For the meet we will need many volunteers, but particularly timers. Please be ready for the “call”.
9. No morning practices on FRIDAYS – we encourage all to be at Gaffney for team bonding before the meet on Saturday
10. Looking forward to a great season – talk about us to your friends on post – we need the support.
