Head Coach - Kevin McCollum

Assistant Varsity - Greg Parker

This is Coach Parker's 6th year at Forsyth Central High School. He will be working with outfielders as well as other various duties that may arise. He teaches Algebra 2 and Statistics during the school day. Previous to moving to Cumming, he was at Rockdale County High School for two years where he coached baseball and basketball. Coach Parker was married to his wife, Jennifer in July 2004, and has one daughter, Maggie, born July 9, 2007.

 

 



Assistant Varsity - Brett Keyser

Coach Keyser is a native to Cumming, GA.  He graduated from Forsyth Central where he was a Varsity pitcher for four years.  After high school, Coach Keyser went to Truett-McConnell College to pitch and later transferred to ABAC to finish his degree in Landscape Design.  He also played five years in East Cobb baseball and won two CABA World Series alongside Braves' catcher Brian McCann and Reds pitcher Micah Owings. 

Coach Keyser currently lives in Cumming and owns a landscape company.  He has been married to his wife, Abby, since June 2006.  She is a 3rd grade teacher at Coal Mountain Elementary. 

Coach Keyser will be the Head Pitching Coach for the Varsity team.



Assistant Varsity - Brian Bull
Coach Brian Bull is in his first year as a coach at Forsyth Central High School. Coach Bull graduated from Holly Hill Academy in South Carolina in 1995 where he was an all region selection in three sports: shortstop and pitcher in baseball, power forward in basketball, and linebacker and tight end in football. He went on to Newberry College as a pitcher where he played three years before transferring to Clemson University to complete his degree program.

Coach Bull graduated in 2000 with a B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science from Newberry College and a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Clemson University. He currently works as a software engineer in Alpharetta.

Coach Bull continues to play baseball at a competitive level as the shortstop for his Atlanta MSBL team. He will be coaching the Bulldog catchers and hitters this year.

Coach Bull resides in Cumming with his wife, Carissa, his son, Braylan, and his Boykin Spaniel, Maren.



Head J.V. Coach - Jim Plouffe

This is Coach Plouffe's 3rd year at Forsyth Central High School.  Coach Plouffe graduated from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education.  He is currently working on his Master's in Leadership at Kennesaw State University and will graduate in July.  Coach Plouffe brings 22 years of coaching experience to bring to the Dawg House.  Of those twenty years, 10 have been as a head coach in North Carolina and Florida.  Coach Plouffe teaches Government and Economics.  Coach Plouffe and his wife Kelly have four kids: Allie, a freshman at West Georgia, Haley, a junior at FCHS, Tucker a 7th grader at Little Mill Middle School, and baby Logan.  The Plouffe's are expecting their 5th child.  HE will arrive in May.  Baseball has always been a way of life in the Plouffe household, and the whole family is looking forward to the upcoming season!

 



Assistant J.V. Coach - Scott Carlson

This is Coach Carlson's 5th year teaching at Forsyth Central and his 3rd year of doing baseball.  Coach Carlson is originally from Quincy, Illinois but moved to Cumming in 1998 where he began teaching at Vickery Creek middle school.  He is married to Katye, also a teacher, and they have four children: Jake 13, Ellie 11, Sam 7 and Daniel 6.  He will be working primarily with the JV this year concentrating on catchers.  He is looking forward to a great year with the Bulldogs.

Assistant J.V. Coach - Keith Trawick
Coach Trawick graduated from Houston Academy in Dothan, Alabama in 1989 where he played baseball and basketball. In high school he pitched and played right field. His senior year the baseball team made it to the Elite Eight in class A ball for the state of Alabama. Upon graduation, he received a partial academic/baseball scholarship to attend Huntingdon College and an academic scholarship to attend the University of Alabama. He attended the University of Alabama to earn a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. He continued his education at the University of Alabama where he also earned a Masters Degree in Secondary Education in Science. After graduating from college, Coach Trawick taught for 2 ½ years in Alabama before moving to Georgia. During such time Coach Trawick has taught the entire academic gamut including biology, chemistry, physics, and physical science. This will be Coach Trawick’s 10th year in the teaching profession and his 4th year as a coach for the Diamond Dawgs. In addition to coaching baseball, Coach Trawick has helped with the Lady Dogs softball program for the past three years. He is married to Christie Trawick and they have one girl, Addison Zaide that is 1 year old. He is looking for a productive and exciting year for the FCHS Junior Varsity baseball team. GO DAWGS!
