Welcome to the Fairfield County Fastpitch Softball League (FCFSL). The FCFSL was created in 2003 to serve town, summer travel, and elite softball teams. Our season starts in April for 10u and 12u teams, with 14u and 16u teams joining play after the High School season concludes. We hold a season-ending tournament during the last week of July. All teams playing in the FCFSL are registered with the CT-USSSA organization.

Now that you have made your schedule, you must enter it into your team's website page. Here's how:
1. Login with your ID for first time users (or email addresses for old pros) and password.
2. Click "calendar" in the left-hand menu.
3. Click "games."
4. Find and click on your age group (10u, 12u, 14u, 16u)

Now that the 2013 FCFSL Annual Meeting has concluded here are the things you should know and do:
1. Register your team with the CT USSSA. Contact David (see his news on the front page).
2. Insure your team/players and have proof of insurance with you at all games. On your insurance, please list the Fairfield County Fastpitch Softball League as an “additional insured.” The address is 9 Cliffview Drive, Norwalk, CT 06850. The description is “The Fairfield County Fastpitch Softball League is an additional insured, but only with respect to liability arising out of operations of the named insured. All policy terms and conditions apply.”
3. Attend the scheduling meeting on April 1st at 7pm in the St. Philip School Hall.
4. Enter your scheduled games into this website. Once you play your game, post the score. Failure to do so means you are not playing in the year-end tournament. You can play a team more than once, but only one game counts in the standings. Decide which game that is with the coach of the other team before you play the game!
5. Create/update your team page. You must have an ID/password to do so. This info has been sent to you. If you have forgotten it, contact me and I will re-send.
6. On the front page of your eteamz team website, list your roster (first names and uniform number only!). If you do not use the page assigned for your team on the FCFSL website, please post a link to wherever your team info is listed.
7. In order for your players to be eligible for the FCFSL tournament, they must appear on your website, have played regular season FCFSL games (as evidenced by your scorebook), and be listed as a registered CT USSSA player.
8. Check the handout section for the current team contact listing. Alert me to whatever updates need to be made.
9. The home team reserves and prepares the field and pays for the “patched” umpire. The visiting team brings three new leather fastpitch softballs to the game. Both managers confirm game details 72 hours prior to the game date. Use the schedule program within the website to convey directions, GPS addresses, game dates and times.
10. Read the CT-USSSA rulebook!
11. As always, the 10u group plays with modified rules: Third base is “Gated.” Runs can only be scored on hits, errors, or bases loaded scenarios where there is a Walk, HBP, catcher’s interference, etc. Runs cannot score on stolen bases, passed balls, delayed steals, or over-throws back to the pitcher.
12. There will be a minimum number of regular season games to be played to enter the FCFSL tournament. This minimum will be reviewed and set, as we get closer to the scheduling meeting. Check the website in the next few weeks for an update as the number of existing teams is confirmed
13. Currently we have: 16 10u teams, 26 12u teams, 20 14u teams, and 8 16u teams.
14. The FCFSL season-ending tournament will be held on the last weekend in July; some tournament sites may begin play on the Thursday of tournament week.
15. All pitchers & corner infielders (P, 1B, 3B) must wear facemasks. Batters must wear chinstraps in order to secure their helmets.
16. 12u teams will receive an email to vote on the admission of the Cheshire Wildcats.
