High School Prospect Baseball Winter Select Camps


FAU High School Select Summer Camp

 

Dates: 07/27/09 – 07/30/09

Ages: Grades 9-12

Cost: $421 (commuter)/ $541 (Overnight)

This 4 day camp is intense, and is designed for the serious baseball player.

- Many FAU players were signed directly out of this camp.

- Campers will receive quality instruction and evaluation in all aspects of the game from not only the FAU Coaching Staff, but from other college coaches.
.
- Camp will begin at 9:00am each day and conclude at 5:00pm each day.

- Breakfast, lunch, dinner, lodging and transportation is included in the cost for the Overnight Camper.

- Lunch will be provided for the Commuters.

- Only 75 campers will be accepted.

- $200 non refundable deposit required with registration. Balance due upon arrival


 FAU High School Prospect Baseball Camp  
Directions to FAU Baseball Stadium  

Take I-95 to the Glades Rd exit in Boca Raton. Go East. Turn left into the FAU main entrance which will be about a mile east of I-95. Go to the first traffic light and make a left. From there you will see the baseball stadium on your left.

 What to bring to camp 

We recommend that you bring all of your baseball equipment along with full baseball attire. We will have plenty of water and Gatorade available as well as lunch and dinner. The overnight campers will have breakfast available to them at the hotel.

 Camp Itinerary Day 1

8:30 – Check-In at field

9:00 – Stretch/Throw

9:30 –  Workout

            60 yd dash

            Outfielders throw from right field

            Infielders throw from SS

            Catchers throw from Home to 2B

11:00 – Defensive Drills and Instruction

11:45 – Lunch

12:15 – Hitting Lecture

1:15 – Offensive Drills and Instruction

3:30 – Games – Please note that you will be divided into teams based on your primary position. We will do our best to make sure that you get to play your secondary position in the games as well. All primary pitchers will throw twice during the camp, (2-3 innings), and all secondary pitchers will throw once. The primary pitchers that throw on Thursday will throw again on Saturday, and the guys that throw on Friday will throw on Sunday.

9:30 – Defensive Drills and Instruction

11:45 – Lunch

12:15 – Strength and Conditioning Lecture

1:15 – Offensive Drills and Instruction

12:15 – Recruiting Lecture (Parents are encouraged to attend this very informative lecture about the NCAA rules and the entire recruiting process)

All primary pitchers will throw twice during the camp, (2-3 innings), and all secondary pitchers will throw once. 9:30 – Defensive Drills and Instruction/or games depending on if we need to make up games due to weather.

11:45 – Lunch

12:15 – Games – Please note that you will be divided into teams based on your primary position. We will do our best to make sure that you get to play your secondary position in the games as well. All primary pitchers will throw twice during the camp, (2-3 innings), and all secondary pitchers will throw once. The primary pitchers that throw on Thursday will throw again on Saturday, and the guys that throw on Friday will throw on Sunday.

3:00 – Closing remarks

 Overnight Camper Information 

- All overnight campers will be staying at the Double Tree Guest Suites in Boca Raton located just West of I-95 off Yamato Rd. Phone # for Double Tree 561-997-9500.

- Campers can check into the hotel any time after 3:00pm on the 26th. You do not need to call the hotel to make a reservation. We have reserved rooms for all overnight campers and the Double Tree will have the names of all campers.

- Please contact Brad Frick if you will not be checking into the hotel until the 27th.

- There will be a meeting with all overnight campers in the lobby of the Double Tree at 8:30pm on the night of the 26th.

- Transportation to and from camp each day will be provided for all overnight campers.

- Any overnight campers that are flying in and need transportation to and from the airport, please contact Coach Frick 561-297-1055


 


Youth Instructional Baseball Camps




 Youth Instructional Camp

Times: 9:00am – 3:00pm
Ages: 6-13
Cost: $221

 Cost of camp includes: instruction, lunch, camp T-shirt.
Campers will be grouped by age and ability level.
Baseball attire is recommended. Items to bring include: glove, hat, bat, and swimming attire (weather permitting).
Daily schedule will include baseball instruction (Hitting, Fielding, Throwing, and Catching) and Games.

OWL BASEBALL ACADEMY Youth Baseball Camps Directions to FAU Baseball Stadium

 What to bring to camp 

We recommend that you bring all of your baseball equipment along with full baseball attire. You should also bring swimming trunks and a towel for the pool. We will have plenty of water and Gatorade available as well as lunch.

 Drop Off & Pick UpCampers will be dropped off at the front of the baseball stadium and pick up at the front of the baseball stadium. Parent must check in and check out on the attendance sheet. Campers will not be allowed to wonder or walk to the parking lot.
