Ewing Eclipse
Ewing Township, New Jersey

The Ewing Eclipse is a competitive U-18 girls soccer team located in Ewing Township, New Jersey.   The team was formed in the Spring of 1999 to offer the girls of Ewing Township and surrounding areas the opportunity to make friends, improve their skills and play soccer at a more competitive level.

The Eclipse is a founding team of the Ewing Girls Travel Soccer Club and remains part of the Club today.   For the 2008-2009 season, the team's final year together, the Eclipse will be competing in the South Jersey Girls Soccer League (SJGSL) as well as participating in several local and regional tournaments.   For more information on the Ewing Girls Travel Soccer Club and its member teams, please visit   (Our website can also be accessed through the Ewing Girls Travel Soccer Club website by clicking on the 'Teams' menu and following the links to the Ewing Eclipse.)

Saturday, March 21

New directions have been posted for the Sunday, March 22nd game vs. Hamilton due to a change in field locations.   The girls should arrive no later than 11am.

Monday, March 9

The rainout from the March 1st game has been rescheduled by the league for Sunday, May 17th.  We are responsible for separately rescheduling the rainout from March 8th.  It will be on a Saturday, likely late April or early May.  Details to follow.

Complete Schedule Posted

The complete schedule has been posted.  Please keep in mind that honoring your commitment to the team is imperative, and absenteeism from the games creates an unnecessary hardship for everyone involved.  While family and school commitments cannot always be avoided, they should be the exception, and a cavalier attitude toward game attendance should not be the norm.  For week #1, the team will be missing nearly half of the 16 rostered players for various reasons, which is unfair and inconsiderate to everyone, as the team will be playing short with 9 players at most.

Sunday's Game

The SJGSL season will start this coming Sunday, March 1st.  The first game is at Bordentown's Friendship Fields (directions are posted) at 12:00pm.  Be there by 11am for warm-ups.  We will have no subs, so it is critical for everyone to attend.

Please note that SJ did centralize some games for referee scheduling purposes as noted in the December message below.  We will have one other "home" game played at Bordentown on May 3rd and one away game at Seneca on April 5th played at Pemberton.  All other home games this season will be played at Ewing and all other away games at our respective opponent's fields.

Complete schedule to be posted in the coming days.

Welcome Back!

Welcome back everyone!!!  Looking forward to the start of our 11th year together and concluding our team's journey through the years with a lot of fun and success!

First order of business is to welcome Erika to the team!  We're very excited to have you on board!

Second, the MCCC schedule and rules summary are posted.  Please see the "MCCC" message for further details.

Third, we will once again be competing in SJGSL for regular-season play.  As a reminder, games are scheduled to begin the first week of March (weather permitting) and will be on Sundays.  SJGSL is making noise about doing group scheduling of games for older teams in central locations for referee scheduling purposes, meaning that there is a possibility that teams will have few, if any, "home" games and instead, games will be played in central locations like Bordentown, Fort Dix, etc. in a tournament-type format.  No final decisions have yet been made by SJ.  More information to follow when available.

Finally, due to the ladies' many commitments off the soccer field, we have not played in state cup or any tournaments for the past couple of seasons.  If anyone is interested in doing either or both in our last year, please let Jen know asap.

See you on the 19th at MCCC!
