EJLL 2016 Registration information

The EJLL 2016 Baseball Season is just around the corner.

Baseball will begin the week after the Spring Break (April 18 - 22). The first game (Major & Minor league teams only) will be on Monday, April 25th. Reminder: EJLL baseball is for players currently enrolled in Grade K to baseball age (age before May 1st) of 12, in the Essex Junction School district which includes Hiawatha, Summit, Fleming, and ADL schools and those students that are home schooled in the Essex Junction Village district. Online registration (Credit Card payment) will be opening on January 15, 2016.

If you would like to fill out forms and pay by Cash or Check, you may come to Registration Day, Sunday, February 7th from 1:00-4:00 PM listed below or you can drop-off the completed forms at the Parks & Rec offices on Maple Street. The registration forms (you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader) are available in the handout section of this site. The cost of EJLL registration remains the same as last year: $75 for the first registered player / +$40 for the second registered player per family. The maximum charge per family is $115 (if you have 3, 4, 5... players in your family, it's $115). The Board of Essex Junction Little League understands that during these economics times that household funds can be limited, so we do offer a number of player Scholarships. To request a Scholarship, simply complete the necessary registration forms, either drop the completed forms off at the Parks & Rec office or come to one of the Registration Days, and send an email to indicating your request for a scholarship, and we will take care of the rest.

Our goal is to allow all eligible, young players interested in playing Little League baseball the opportunity to learn and play the game.

The 2016 EJLL Baseball Season

Here is how the 2016 Season will break down:

After players are registered, during the month of January and February, a Skills Assessment will be conducted at the EHS Gym for players that will be playing either Minor (National) league or Major (American) league baseball. Minor & Major league players are typically in 3rd Grade to baseball age (age before May 1st) of 12 years old.

The first games of the season will be played the week of April 25th.  These games will only be for Major and Minor league players.  T-Ball and Coach Pitch games will not start until the 2016 Opening Day Ceremonies on Saturday, April 30th (subject to change).  Game schedules will not be determined until all teams are finalaized and we have confirmation on Inter-league games dates.  Due to a short season (6 weeks) Minor and Major league teams will have 2 - 3 games scheduled a week. T-Ball and Coach Pitch teams will have 1 - 2 games scehduled per week.

T-Ball and Coach Pitch teams will have games until the 2016 Season Closing Ceremonies on Saturday, June 11th.  The Major and Minor league team will be wrapping up their tournaments the week on June 10th.
