Team
The Enfield Ramblers B-Team is just that, TEAM.
Starting the first week of practice on July 31st, all the coaches knew we had something special. We had returning players and new players with great talent and heart that were willing to make the sacrifices necessary to win. We put these kids through a very tough month of August with conditioning, drills, and fed them a great deal of plays to digest and understand. After evaluating all the players and breaking down the talent, the coaches started putting together the team - the problem was that we had a lot of talented players.
The B-Team was finally put together with a solid starting offensive line anchored by center Mike Natale who was flanked by Mason Welch and Devon LaBreck at guard and Connor Brantner and Jordan Grasso at tackle along with Raekwon Robinson, Dan Lynch and Ryon Gates filling in that made for an awesome line. This line would stay together for the season paving lanes and opening holes for one of the best backfields in the league starting with Hugh Lindo, Nick Ferracci, Joey Vella, Dylan Robbins, Jacob Alaimo, and Eric Adamczyk. At QB we had Zack Nolan and Mike Crowley who kept opposing defenses honest with some sharp passing to Quinton Taylor, Alex Violette, Kiel Roberts, and the rest of the outstanding backfield players. This offense was as good as it gets and proved this all season long. Every week new plays were implemented and the kids picked it up and made it happen solidifying themselves with a 28 point outbreak against Tolland in the Championship game. Steady running and sharp passing was the trademark of this Championship offense.
The backbone of the Ramblers B-Team was the defense. These kids did everything asked of them playing above and beyond all expectations. The defense started out the season with three straight shutouts against Portland, Stafford, and Tri-Town. This Rambler defense allowed an average of 8 points per game during the regular season and allowed 6 points in three playoff games! The defensive clinic they displayed against Ellington in the playoffs will be in the memories of many for a long time. Holding the explosive Ellington offense to 6 points even after we lost three starters is an indication of the heart and talent this team has. Time and time again, this defense rose to the occasion stopping offenses cold and allowing for the Rambler offense to put points on the board. This defense received many accolades from coaches around the league with due to their steady and disciplined stay at home play. The defensive line consisting of starters Quinton Taylor, Dylan Robbins, Mike Natale, and Mark Handfield, along with Justin Stephen, Kyle Whalen, Dan Lynch, Edward Cain, Raekwon Robinson, and Mike “Mad Dog” Crowley made it virtually impossible for opposing offenses to run against us. Our line backing crew was the best of the best. Starters Jacob Alaimo, Joey Vella, and Eric “A Train” Adamczyk along with Wesley Polmatier were the best in the league at run stopping and pass defense. The secondary with starters Dan Brunetti, Kodi Martinez, Hugh Lindo, and Nick Liucci along with Zach and Andrew Wilcox, Tyler Demontigny, Tommy Watson, and Matt Buanno were as strong and solid as any secondary around. Their ball-hawking and run stopping ability was awesome all year long.
As one Rambler coach text messaged to me, “Who are we? Let me tell you who we are. We are the Enfield Ramblers with the best defense in the NCFL, ECFL, and pound for pound the NFL”. I have to believe him now!
The coaching staff of the Enfield Ramblers B-Team; Kirk Violette, Joe Natale, Sal Vella, Tom Levielle, and Tim Whalen truly want to thank all the players for their hard work, dedication, drive, and HEART in bringing home the Championship. The players deserve all the credit as they made coaching this team fun. The progression of talent in this organization is a true indication of the solid program the Enfield Rambler Football organization has from the D-Team on up.
Thank you to all the parents, chain gang, and fans who supported us along this journey. It was a great trip!!!
Welcome to the Enfield Ramblers Youth Football and Cheerleading Organization. We are located in Enfield, Ct and are part of the NCFL.
We have 4 divisions of football and cheerleading with approximately 180 children involved. We took home the 2006 B-Team Championship for football last year and in 2005 the C-Team Championship. Our cheerleaders have won many competitions. This year cheerleading squads have doubled in size.
We look forward to our games this year and hope to give our opponents a terrific game.
GO RAMBLERS!!!
