Wednesday, July 1
The Financial Aid Committee has been reviewing all of the applicants for this year. As you can well imagine, there are a larger number of applicants this year, and the Club has somewhat less funding to work with, so the task is a difficult one.
Nevertheless, the committee is making progress. While it's still possible that the Financial Aid Commitee will make their initial awards this week, most likely they will be reviewing this at the Board meeting on Monday July 6. They will then begin the notification process and should have that completed by Friday July 10.
Members that have not made an initial gift to the Financial Aid fund and are able to do so should consider mailing one to our Po Box. Any additional funding will make it easier and will keep more kids on the field.

Friday, June 26
Uniforms for Saturday for all games will be white socks and blue shorts. All players should have these by now if not those that have not been picked up will be at the games. Bring both blue and white jerseys since many players will need both colors. We will wear white jerseys when playing Evergreen. Green team will wear blue when playing White team. As always bring a complete set of blue and white since this could change at the game. Practice or game jerseys are fine since not everyone has their game shirts.
The Eckstein field is turf. If you have turf shoes bring them but always bring cleats as well since turf can be slick in many conditions. See you at the game. Go ECFC!

Coach Jon has arranged the Friendly Games with Evergreen Soccer. There will be three games on the 27th at Eckstein Middle School.
Warmups start at 10am with the following games scheduled.
Game 1 10:30 AM ECFC white v ESA
Game 2 11:30 AM ECFC v ECFC
Game 3 12:30 PM ESA v ECFC Green
Saturday, June 20
We're wrapping up our June session. The final two practices are now posted. Note that all M97 players are invited to come play/practice at Coach Jon's clinic on June 21, 1-3pm at 60 arcres. This is a good place to get some touches, and see how good our coaches really are! Meet at the SW corner of the complex.
June (and with it the Spring 2009 session) will end with a friendly round robin on June 27, 10:00-2:00 at Eckstein MS, also posted in the game schedule. No practices or games after this event until August. If there are any un-official fun events we'll let you know.
August tournaments are now lined up. Federal Way Blast Off August 7-9 and Pacific Coast Challenge on August 21-23 in Bellingham. Both Green and White teams will be attending so watch your email for details. Format for both is one game on Friday, two games on Saturday, and finals on Sunday. Times and teams will shape up in July.
