The Spartans Junior High Baseball Team had a big week with back to back 17-0 Wins. Coach Spinnato and Coach McCormick have been working hard with the team and the results are showing.
On May 5th, the Spartans defeated Sewanhaka 17-0. Ricardo Tross pitched a CG shutout allowing just 2 hits. Ricardo also had a big day at the plate, going 3-3 with a walk, 4 runs and 4 stolen bases. Jeffrey Cadet was the defensive player of the game. The Spartans catcher threw out 3 runners attempting to steal.
On May 7th, the Spartans defeated Floral Park 17-0. Daniel Aquillo pitched a one hitter. He also went the distance in the shutout. Darius Guy finished with 3 RBI and a stolen base. He also played a solid defensive game in left field.
